Permissions Capability
Would like for Owner's in a Team, Group or Plan to be able to change user's/member's permissions within Planner so they can:
1) Contribute
2) Edit
3) Read-Only
4) No Access

Why do Microsoft insist that everyone that might need to see information will also need the ability to delete/edit/***** up everything as well (unintentionally or otherwise). Surely Microsoft managers have oversight of things within Microsoft but not the ability to dabble in the details - or are they permitted to delete whole areas of code and project data at a whim .............this might explain a lot !!! View only permission at a minimum is needed to make this workable.

Without user rights, the Planner is unusable. Just like a toy.

This is important to avoid others to sabotage the assigned task. In addition, the assignee/members shouldn't have the ability to delete the task without getting the agreement from the task assigner.

You could make it like the Power Apps or Sharepoint did with a drop down near/below the member name with the option to attribute permissions, like co-owner (full access), member (edit), visitor (read only), etc. Also if you implement this please create a Power Automate action that allow us to change those options. That would be awesome!

This would be a big help. We are starting to use planner for more things including larger projects. This is a standard thing that is like a given for files so being able to just view a planner at the very least will allow us to grant visibility into a project without the risk of anyone changing it if they are not supposed to.

If this function would be available, it will save my huge headache from our organization and working procedure.
Image there is a central manager and serveral sales person working on different projects, central manager would like manage and schedulling all tasks in a single planner, but he does not want each sales to see others tasks and projects. Our current solutions is to create another planner for each sales and duplicated the tasks from project central planner. Any edit and update from central planner, central manager has to do a same thing on individual planner. What a time wasting.

Yes, please update this option. At a bare minimum we should have the option to grant Read-Only status to people wanting to view the plan. It makes sense to be able to share the status of a project without having concern of the plan being altered or modified.
