Add a List view option?
I am currently an Asana user. Do you have any plans to add a "List" view option in MS Planner? My team and I currently work in the "List" view of Asana. We tried the "Bucket / Board" view and did not like it. We would consider using MS Planner if you offered a "List" view to work from in your application.
Do you have any plans to add a "List" view option in MS Planner?

Agreed, viewing tasks as a list with the following fields/columns: who, what is the task, when should it be delivered, current status (including closed). Otherwise the current planner is pointless and difficult to use.
My team won't leave Asana for Planner unless we have a list. Please add this feature!
I found if you view your Plan via Charts, there is essentially a Lists view on the right hand side. Not 100% Asana equivalent, but is working for me.
With the ability to have item "backlog" that will not show in the Kanban/Column view
Totally agree. A list view will improve MS Planner and win over some Asana users who can't live without it. Please consider this feature in your next release.
I totally agree. We need a list wiew to improve the use of the MS Planner. It is hard to control the activities using just the mode of Bucket. It is about time to add this feature.

Agree. This is a must - particularly for those users being weened off of spreadsheets and SharePoint lists. I would also suggest custom fields but maybe that's in another thread.
found this thread while looking for a list view option in Planner.
Planner & To-do integration provides a list view for tasks assigned to you:
This thread was started in 2017. It is now 2020 and I can't believe that "list view" is not available yet. It seems so simple and what is the harm in adding the functionality?
Totally agree with this suggestion. Hard to review actions in the meeting in the bucket view but do need the current bucket view as well

Agreed. It is helpful for a worker to see these items as cards. But for a manager, you also want to pull out and see/report on all the outstanding tasks - and they just don't all fit on a screen for a point-in-time screen shot or high level review.
Planner seems to want to exist between MS Project and Outlook - but it falls short here. There is no way to view or export all current tasks out of Planner. I can see the results in the Board view, but have no way to get to the underlying data points. In contrast, I would be able to see a listing of all tasks using the basic listing and views available for tasks in Outlook.
We also need to pull periodic status points for measuring project work over time, and storing these in a way that facilitates project auditing. A task list that could be exported (or even copied/pasted into Excel) would solve this.

really need this also,
and for me its important that ist possible to copy multple cells from excel to the list so i can "bulk" create new tasks. Would also like that the copy by dragging, like in excel, is possible.
Agreed about the list view. We are investigating Planner but the lack of a list view is frustrating. Now if the tasks in Planner were able to be viewed in Outlook Tasks (list based) that would work too, but sadly that's not easy to do either!

yes a compact list view would be good

Same feedback. We tried Asana and loved the list view. We were going to even go as far as pay for 30+ people to use Asana and then decided to use Planner instead. When can we expect a list view? It's disappointing to have to view cards when you can have more information displayed by using a list.
its very disappointing this is not possible. The first comment plas placed in 2017. Microsoft had nearly two years to implement it and its still not possible. When can we expect it?

Totally agree on this need.

Would really enjoy a list / grid view inside a plan and allow me to choose and filter on columns.
I find myself continually going back to Excel for plan management for the flexibility it offers. It would be nice if some of the basic things were already Planner.
i agree! any updates??? thanks
