within the integration with teams, allow @mentions
I like having Planner inside Microsoft Teams. However, it would be nice if we could @mention a team member within the comments on a Planner task and they would get a notification just like the @mention in a Teams channel. We are moving away from the clutter of email, so any additional integration into Teams is a huge plus. I don't want a notification about something I'm working on in Teams to go to my email. It just doesn't make sense anymore.

Surprised this is missing from planner. Definitely critical.

Ridiculous this is not a feature. All other apps like this have it.

I just tried to type @... in a Planner task, and nothing happens. That doesn't make any sense. How do I include people in conversation on a task without starting up a separate chat?

This would greatly increase efficiency and productivity! Makes perfect sense, please implement ASAP! What are the barriers to implementing this? Would be great to hear from someone at Microsoft on the status of this!

Not having this function is shocking. It's really pushing me away from planner.

It would awesome when @mentions from Planner comments send to the user(s) in Teams.

So important to make sure you stay in communication. Could be it sends an email to that person.
Also, custom progress descriptions… (tired of waiting on that one).

This seems so easy. I can't believe it doesn't exist yet. This comment was from 2017. Come on Microsoft. Anyone find a workaround? Planner is perfect but if we can't @ mention someone to come and check an attachment or give feedback, it decreases productivity greatly and we may need to find another option.

Can someone on the development team for MS Teams talk to someone on the development team for Azure DevOps? In Azure DevOps, mentions work perfectly. It's kind of astonishing that people cannot be @mentioned from within an MS Planner card/task.

It'd be very helpful.

I'm shocked that this has been open for 3 years without resolution. Products like Jira, Slack, and Salesforce all have this as basic functionality. Please include this asap.

We really need this functionality - there are many times when people that aren't 'assigned' to complete the task need to be a part of a conversation about that task. It would be really helpful being able to have those conversations within the bounds of the planner task, and notify those people with a simple @mention. It would be very consistent with the functionality throughout MS Teams

We're using all Microsoft products, but we can't really use Planner for client projects without @ mentions. In the mean time we're using Trello, Slack, Quip, whatever our clients have. Terrible because we can't then see all our work in Planner Hub.
Gotta have this!
