Create a Plan without creating an Office Group
I like using the Planner as a personal tool to simply manage my day-to-day tasks - I like the kanban Trello-esque visual way of doing this. I don't, however, need the sharing capabilities and therefore all the associated 365 group stuff created in the background is superflous. It would be good to simply have an "individual" Plan and not have it create a 365 group. It just feels like there will be whole lot of chaos will ensue with people creating all sorts of groups like "My Plan", "Test Plan" etc.

Dear Planner users, Planner is looking to learn your experience with managing “personal tasks”. The feedback you provide would help the product to optimize the features toward your needs, and would benefit other users who use the product like you.
We’d very much appreciate if you could take 7-10 mins to fill out this survey. Thank you!

have you some news about that idea?

Yes please - we would definitely like this! Perhaps the Planner could be tied to a users OneDrive library and a mailbox too? That would provide those same 'dependent' apps to cater for the Planner functions. Please implement this common request!

For our organization it is also very useful to use Planner without having to create groups.

Yes please implement this!
We recently blocked users from creating Office 365 groups. Only admins can create teams, sharepoint site etc through its respective admin page (admins have no user licenses so no access to user services like Planner hub).
Unfortunately Planner does not have an admin page where admins can create this. Our admins do not have user licenses so the current situation is that no-one can create a plan anymore!!!
Please fix this Microsoft and give us as admins an option to access a planning admin center to create plans, connect them to groups or create stand alone plans for specific users. -

Planner will be very useful without having to create groups, as it quickly becomes a nightmare to manage if each user creates their own site/group.

We have Planner but I can't even use it due to IT control over Teams Groups/Channels (we are a very large company - and they understandably don't want thousands of Teams groups created that only get used once) so being able to use the app independent of groups would be game changing for us

This functionality would be good to prevent the complexities involved when managing multiple plans. An example use case would be multiple plans per one Group, but then a plan becomes redundant due to project completion. When a user then leaves the plan, they leave all plans for that Group, which is not ideal. If you delete a plan, it also deletes the group and all other content. A good solution would be the choice to create a plan for a Group or a User, and then the ability to change the Group/User at a later date. Thanks

Yes, this would be helpful

Please add this feature. We don't need so many heavy connections all the time for Planner.

We need to have an option for the plan group to be hidden from the Outlook Address Book for users that are not in the group. For example, HR makes a plan, they don't want the plan group name to be visible to the entire company (could be a sensitive subject name), just the ones in the group.

Why does everything in O365 need to be tied to Sharepoint and groups? We can't easily deploy 1/2 of O365 great features without creating havoc in other areas like file storage and random group creations.

It would be nice to assign task to users outside of a group. For instance, my teams (or group) work on certain tasks, but sometimes need assistance from outside my team or group to complete said task. It would be nice to be able to assign the task to a person who isn't apart of my team or group (because I don't have a need or want to add them to my group or team).

Please enable this, so we can manage personal tasks with Kanban - that is all we need, not the extra overhead of a 365 Group, Team, SharePoint repository etc.

Plans are much more fluid than groups. We need to be able to easily add and remove people.

Hi, interested in a personal plan as well. Don't need to clog up resources with my own project management.

Adding myself to the list. My administrators are angry with me for every (personal) planner I create, it bloats their group managment.
MS do something. -

Option to Import and Export Plan is missing, you can only Export but can't import a template. This will be beneficial if you have identical tasks at every project.
