Windows Universal App (UWP app)
A windows universal app that will run on desktops and other windows devices
As an update, we’ve paused work on this item to pursue wrapping up work on a few other high priority asks.
We appreciate your patience and feedback on this, and hope to resume work on this soon. Please keep voting and letting us know that you’d like to see in a Planner UWP app!
The Planner Team
is a must feature.
Would be great!
I do travel to several countries and don't like to use the expensive mobile data rates to just make planning, ( Off course, traveling is limited during COVID )
As well working in front of customers where no public network is available - is a reason !
Pls. Ladies & Gentlemen s do post reasons why we need this offline working capability.

We need a desktop app!
I would love to have an app that I can pin on my taskbar. The browser are already too crowded with tabs...

A Desktop App would be absolutely helpfull
I am waiting for the Desktop App as well. Would be really great.
Planner is a powerful tool.
But running in IE it is very slow. It's not possible to work effectively.
Where is the desktop app?
C'mon guys, it cant be this hard to create an desktop app for this amazing tool.
Please don't let us down here :)

Is there a new update on the topic after one and a half years?
Please an APP - the browser version is horrible!
No updates since December 2018? Noone is working on this? I really would appreciate this Planner app with integration in Outlook and Teams.
Planner for Windows 10 app is a must have!
Any update on this?
any news here? when will the desktop app be available?
I echo the point that it's built nicely into Teams -- improving that integration would be a higher priority for us than getting a stand-alone app. However, the current Teams implementation of Planner is broken in the app (and the website) for touch -- it's impossible to scroll via touch. The Android version of the Planner app fixes this, but loses dark mode. None of them support the essential ability to attach screen captures inside comments. So those are the things I'd like to see:
1. Ensure touch-to-scroll and touch-to-drag both work (like in the Android Planner app)
2. Dark mode (like in Planner in Teams)
3. Ability to embed images inline in comments (just like in Chat/Posts in Teams)

Why do we need an App? With the integration into Teams why can't it just be within teams. We don't want to dilute the Microsoft development team so they have to work on multiple applications just keep it central in Teams!
Please don't create another App that you then need to support!
