This is a nice post. The iphone app is nice, but the size of an iPad will make it so much more useful. Thanks for sharing this useful information.

Does the Planner app automatically fit the screen size and display resolutions of all iPad models listed here: https://www.cfone.net/apple-ipad-models-generations.html

I got excited about this, but I can't access my planner board. I have a tab in MS Teams but I can't see it in the app, I can only see the Office 365 groups.

Is there a release date (or at least an estimation) for the native iPad version?
We are discussing the implementation of Planner in our administrative processes right now - but if there won't be an iPad version soon, we won't consider it any more...
Thanks! -

Yes, please, planner on iPad would be a killer app.
Please let’s have that very soon.

We are rolling our Teams very fast in a large organisation and with many many staff working on iPADS its essential we achieve the goal of being able to navigate the tasks our staff have been assigned across many plans and teams. Digital Transformaiton is about working in multiple projects / teams and staying on top of the game. iPads have been a great device with the integrated keyboard in pro and long battery life - our staff work anywhere from them. Please optimise this great prodiuct for IPAD.

I’m using the planner app on Ipad pro and not having much success. It won’t operate ion landscape view, and you guys may not know this, but when you put a keyboard on an ipad pro, its n landscape view. So you fold the keyboard away and go portrait, but no onscreen keyboard appears, so you can’t type. So only choice is to use it landscap, tilt your head sideways and type in landscape mode wheil screen is in portrsairt, really?

Filters for cards with specific user attribution, overdue tasks or with an due date whitin X days, cards not moved since X days, multiple bucked views, off line use with sync mode would be very interesting on a IPad version App (essential) as well as on the iPhone and browser versions! (Sure that is very helpfully on a short time!)

Good decision, but too late. Due to the slow development speed, some severe limitations and missing Basic functionality, I decided to switch to a competitive product - MeisterPlan.
This has a been a good decision. MeisterPlan started development two years ago (approximately at the same time when Microsoft started the Planner development) but it is far more sophisticated, feature complete, stable and - most importantly - client Independent. I will stay with MeisterPlan therefore. -

I’d like a native ipad app with the ability to work offline. Since some of my projects’ locations have limited or no wifi/data signal.

We also need full integration with teams so we can work on our channel plans from within the app. Currently it is impossible to work on plans from the teams app on ios.

+1. Also, the web version shouldn’t offer to open in the iOS app on iPad (or at least allow the banner to be dismissed!)

Need a good mobile experience.... This app falls way short. We’ll stick with Trello until MS gets it right.

How can you have an executive toy app like this, if it doesn’t even work on executive toys? Come on MS, what planet are you on?
