when creating a task default assignment to my own user
We use Planner for KANBAN and everyone is creating his/hers own tasks. So it would be nice to automatic assign myself to tasks.

While we're waiting for the function, it is possible to solve it by using Microsoft Flow. I managed it with no previous experience using Flow by using the instruction in the link below. However, it takes a few seconds after the task was created before it assigns me as a user (I had to update the page in Planner Web to see it), but otherwise worked fine.

If I'm the only member in a plan, then it would be productive to assign the task to me. It would be productive if there was an "assign to me" button I can click. It saves me three clicks per task, reduces discomfort in my wrists. :)

definitely, I'm using it for task list and I have to manually assign myself a task

If you do not assign yourself to it, the task can easily be lost / not-seen.
