Upgrade Planner notifications to only notify those within the task that a comment / update has been applied, this will significantly reduce the amount of emails being generated.

In the place of email notifications, I think Planner should have a Notification Center or Activity Center in Planner that lists all changes you need to know about. For those of us that don't want additional email, we can click into the Notification Center and see everything that has been updated and take quick action on each item.

The only person that receives comment notifications is the person that created the task. Shameful!
We have global comments off because we don't need the entire group being spammed with comments for tasks that are not assigned to them.
We need comment notifications to go to the person the task is ASSIGNED to, not the person that created it. As a manager, I want to be able to create tasks for others, and I want them to be notified when I comment on THIER task. Instead, I get a useless comment notification for a comment I wrote for a task that is assigned to someone else and the assigned person gets nothing. Who designed this?

I want to see a little red bubble popping up in the corner of a task to signify a new comment or something got checked off. A notification to say that the task received some sort of update, so I know to click open it and read what the updates are.

I agree with this request. This is more annoying than useful and so we had to deactivate this function unfortunately.
Emails being sent to the entire team for cards they had nothing to do with is causing significant confusion; please limit emails to people assigned to a card or subscribed to a card
