CRITICAL: Cannot recover deleted Tasks and files attached to tasks are also lost permanently.
I accidentally deleted a task in Planner. The Task had screenshots and an agreement attached. Once the task has been deleted it does not go to the SharePoint recycle bin and the task, conversation, attachments are permanently deleted.
Easiest fix is to place the task into recycle bin. Work around is to place all attachments in the file repository then attach to task. You still lose the entire task list and conversations thus making this a critical flaw.

Hello Planner Developers,
Many of us are hoping you will further develop Planner and so we don't have to go and use other programs like Trello, which allows archiving, deleting/restoring buckets and tasks.
It would be great to see developments and what you are doing on the Road map:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=PlannerI'm sure like many others are worrying if Planner is just going to be stuck in this current state.
May we get an update, please?
Thanks in advance!

I really feel bad for you! But this is completely insane not to have a recycle bin for planner tasks. Well, if you want to Remove Bad Reviews from Google please visit https://www.uswebsitesdevelopment.com/removing-bad-reviews/

As the digitalization concept is growing day-by-day, the need for data recovery is also increasing in a rapid manner. Because none of us would like to lose our important information because of not taking enough precautions to protect them. For any kind of data recovery information and support visit our site: https://uaedatarecovery.com/data-recovery-dubai/

Agree! It completely weakens the product if the assignee (task recipient) can simply delete the task without a trace. No accountability or audit trail.

I absolutely agree with previous comment: this this slick, modern app with HUGE potential value for our organization ... and is completely unusable without safeguards on deleting data. I simply cannot understand how, after 2 years, this most basic of feature still does not exist. I can only conclude that no one is actually using this software in a serious way. If the situation described by the original poster occurred at our company, this app would be shut down in a heartbeat.

Agree this is a critical flaw. It is fatal to our use case as it is simply intolerable (not just inefficient) for a member to accidentally (or intentionally) delete a task with no way to recover it. That relegates the app to essentially useless status for anything that has any degree of operational importance. It's a real shame, as the app is otherwise solid and has enormous potential for us.

How do you recover deleted tasks - especially those not intentionally deleted? and PLEASE make sure there is a confirmation requirement Y/N - and a bit bucket would be nice that can only be emptied by an administrator.

This is crazy not to have a recycle bin for planner tasks. I saw the combo of a person with a touch screen trying to scroll the tasks and she accidently deleted a task and didn't even get a "are you sure". Big issue.

Any file that I have attached to a task, remains accessible through the "file" tab, even after deletion.
