This feature should be relatively simple to implement and it would be a fantastic addition to planner. With this we could effectively manage all of our planned activities by assigning individual tasks to staff.

This would be a game changer for our organization, and allow us to manage nearly everything using Microsoft Plan. It is important for the vast majority of our use cases.
I would like to assign individual checklist items to individuals, and put a deadline on it.

Yes! This is going to be super helpful. Also it would be a nice to have a comments/notes area for each of the checklist item for communication.

This would be an amazing feature for various offices that have an admin/customer service rep check in a task and assign it to a technician but then it returns to the same admin to close out and respond to the client. Would also be ideal if those check list items could have different suspense dates. Without this feature I'm not sure I can use planner for our needs and keep it simple for office functionality and buy in....

Please allow assigning individual checklist items to different people; and also allow separate start/end dates/due dates for those.

being able to assign checklist items to different people would make Planner so much more useful when working with our team. As it is, the checklist is only useful when the scope of the task is small enough to involve one person. The alternative is to promote checklist items to tasks which forces on to consider promoting buckets to projects

This needs to be a must have as there are way more items in a checklist vs the larger task which cannot be accomplished alone. This would add to the accountability we are looking for

We as a team want to use a 'Task' as a project but the checklist items need to be assignable for it to work properly
