Create synced tasks across planners
The ability to create a task in several planners and have it sync across them would be very useful. This way the users can have individual planners with all their tasks, created only for that planner or linked from project planners or department planners.
Cross team tasks, recurring tasks, tasks with multiple asignees etc can then easily be added to "views" specialized for specific things.

It would be very useful for us to sync tasks across planners. We have an annual plan and also department plans, so it would be grateful to have all task syncronized.

This would be so valuable for corp environments, at a minimum as we have hierarchical boards that flow up/down and maintaining cards separately is a huge inefficiency.

This is a critical feature that is needed in Teams Planners. It is almost impossible to keep track of all the tasks assigned to an individual across all the different plans which makes a consolidated 'view' essential. It also provides a means for a manager to review all the tasks on an employees plate without having the employee create a separate manual report (what we are doing today).

Currently conducting a POC with Planner - this feature is almost a non starter as I have multiple groups and multiple boards. Is there any insight to when this might get to production?

You can do this with Trello through an add-on by unito.io .... The planner needs to do this as it is very counterproductive to have to jump between all these different plans in order to view tasks... we should be able to have a "master plan" that houses all projects and progress. Get with it! Also, make it so we can customize the default tabs on each team or channel and remove or rename the general folder!
Come on... these small things make it very restrictive.

I think this would be really useful for different groups/departments to manager their specific plans and this could "feed up" into a sort of master task list for management to get a better overall view.

I can agree ! We use Planner a few month and now it grows a lot! We need the Option to connect Tasks or to place them in different planners!

It is really needed this functionality in order to improve collaboration and reduce task maintenance efforts across plans. -

Please allow me to build my own "Planner" using cards from other Planners that I am connected with. Also, allow them to synchronize so that I have one place to manage all tasks/cards that are important to me.

Similarly, we have tasks that are applicable across departments and it is annoying to have to update the same task on multiple Plans, for different Teams to see. It would be great to be able to update a task in one Planner and it update across the board somehow.

Have we got this? This is indeed required to save efforts of duplicating task across boards...we don't even have option to copy task across boards..
