Attach files to my tasks
It is not possbile to attach files to tasks, if the task is opened up by "My tasks"
the attached file button is there, but is greyed out
If the task on the other hand is opened up by the plan, it is possible.

I am planning on using Planner a lot. However, I was also really disappointed to see that this wasn't available to be done. I really hope that they look to add this feature sometime soon.....since the original request for this was over 2 years ago....

It's insane that something like this has been missed.

Maintaining a consistent user experience is important.
If a task is opened from the main plan view, you click on "Add Attachment" and see three options:
- Files
- Link
- SharepointIf a task is opened from the "My Tasks" view, just the following two options are available:
- Link
- SharepointIt shouldn't make any difference where the task is opened. And in complex organizations, most users are going to start under "My Tasks". Not having that option to attach a file is one of the first support calls we receive from new Planner users, and one of the most persistent.

Still a valid (and very annoying) issue.

Ok, there ist the possibility to attach files from the Filesystem in the Planner WebInterface - but not when opened in "my Tasks" - this is weired. I hope that this isn't a big Thing in development and would appreciate having a solution soon….thanks!

Same issue! Agree that it is a stupid issue.
If can't upload through "My Task", at lease add a button to let me jump from "My Task" to the plan and allow me to upload file there!
Please fix this ASAP! -

This is a stupid issue- why can you add links but not files?

Same issue here... the files are all in One Drive for Business, and seem to be visible in other group features. Just can't attach to the task in Planner, and only Link is shown as an option. Other Plans seem to be ok,

We are having the same issue here. All browsers are impacted.
From the "My Tasks" view when on a card if you click the "attachment" button you will see "Link" and "SharePoint" as an option but "File" will be missing. If you open a card from inside a Plan all three options are present.

If you can't attach a file and have that file in OneDrive. You can copy the link and paste the link Under Attachments next to the Attached icon you'll see a chain link icon.
