Add Recycle for deleted tasks in Plan
Currently there is no possibility to restore deleted tasks and no option to restrict deletion. Assigned person can delete task and say after that haven't seen it.
In other case, deletion can be done by reason. Nevertheless, ability to restore is important.
Both situations can be handled by old good Recycle for deleted tasks, placed under Plan options. With ability to restore task with all important info: attaches, comments, check list etc. Restore of bucket and labels is nice to have.
Thanks, Ivan

A recycle bin for tasks as well as entire plans is 100% critical. Stop any other development and address this. With the integration in teams, and all users that are in a plan basically being admins, we MUST have a means of restoring deletes.

I agree completely. Last month we lost 4 planners

1000% yes! Planner sucks on so many levels and this is one of the biggest. So easy to accidentally delete or move tasks and lose everything associated with that task forever. Stupid!

yes - this would great to have.

Nicht zu wissen ob Aufgaben gelöscht wurden oder Aufgaben die unwillentlich gelöscht wurden nicht leicht Recyclen zu können ist absurd.

The lack of this feature is the reason why we haven't rolled out Planner to our company yet. Only the IT department is using it, cause we can't affor users complaining they deleted Buckets, Tasks or Plans and we can't recover them.

This was a major design miss! And now it is 4 years since this was added to "How can we make Planner better" and nothing has been done. Is no one reading this

You know, working for a Fortune 500 company with the potential for many, MANY thousands of users to utilize this - one would think that a simple "restore" would work.
Come on MS.. this isn't your first day. If you want to be taken remotely seriously, pull an intern over, give him a 20 hour bucket of time to code in a freaking restore feature.
I can't believe we're even having this conversation.

Please fix this issue ASAP. We are trying to roll Teams and Planner out to one of our departments. The whole world is mid-pandemic and utilizing TEAMS, put a more escalated urgency to this issue.
- Please add an audit or archive log (with time and date stamps). Allow the capability to at least have administrators pull the deleted tasks and restore them if we can't.
- In addition, as many have stated in previous comments, give the ability for us to duplicate one channel along with it's tabs and lock the original so if changes are made, it won't make changes to the duplicated channel.
- Or to eliminate all these issues in general, allow us to create Template channels, so we can duplicate and customize new projects with recurring tasks without all these technical issues and errors.
- Have some companies become beta testers so your developers will have a better understanding of the frustrations we are experiencing on a day to day basis with various online industries working remotely and by necessity these days.
Thank you. -

Please add an Restore or Work audit log feature so when this is done accidentally, it can be restored/retrieved. It's ridiculous that this is not available.

Still looking for this and cannot believe it hasn't been done in 4 years

Do you want planner to be taken seriously?

How do you recover a deleted task? This is essential to making this a usable tool.

Absolutely, utterly absurd! Someone in my office made a copy of a complicated plan, then started editing the copy. Now they find the original has lost all its tasks too... so that means about TWO DAYS work to put it all back. The lack of any undo or archiving, and the pointless ability to "copy" a plan (lies) is more amateur than the worse freeware junk! And to think Teams is currently using 700MB memory... for what exactly? Microsoft, please hire some competent developers, rather than the slow and incompetent kiddies you are currently using.

Would it also be possible to rename links when adding them to the task form within team chanels as this is not helpful when the link is as long as your arm :) if you could look at this possibily also

Hi when could this be added to the design as this would be really useful. I have just encountered a problem whereby i was trying to add in links to one of the bucket tasks and It came up with an error saying that 10.1 was having technical issues and now it is gone. This is a very important aspect of Teams/Planner. With businesses using this more and more it would be beneficial to have this option to restore and to have audit trail here. When could you make this happen? ithink some addtional work here would streamline the working and add a lot more benefits of use.

When will this and restore a complete plan be available?

Terrible design flaw. Planner is a knockoff on Trello. Trello archives deleted plans and cards so they can be restored if need be. We should have continued using Trello,
