Add Recycle for deleted tasks in Plan
Currently there is no possibility to restore deleted tasks and no option to restrict deletion. Assigned person can delete task and say after that haven't seen it.
In other case, deletion can be done by reason. Nevertheless, ability to restore is important.
Both situations can be handled by old good Recycle for deleted tasks, placed under Plan options. With ability to restore task with all important info: attaches, comments, check list etc. Restore of bucket and labels is nice to have.

This needs to be added, please!
Please add this function, I have had big issues because of the lack of undo.

Please we needed do it MS
Yes this would be highly appreciated. as currently users are deleting the plan accidentally and there is no way to restore it. this results in lot of data loss. Wish MS can get this recycle bin for planner ASAP.
I hate this...just deleted an important task from a customer. No idea which one it was from over 30. Thank you Microsoft!!
This is something that has just become an issue on a board used within my organisation for some pretty important stuff. The inability to restore a planner task that was either deleted mistakenly or otherwise is a key component that I admit I'd previously overlooked.
Microsoft please get on this ASAP, add it to the roadmap and make sure this is a key new feature for planner. Without it, parts of my organisation will reject using planner for fear of losing key information - as has already happened!! Total deal-breaker.
PS - I can see that this was raised on the Planner AMA in June last year (2019) but there was no answer in the follow-up summary from anyone on the Planner team about the possibility of this going into production!?

Come on MS, you didn't think Planner needed a recycle bin? Can we please get this quickly before we are forced to adopt?

This function is absolutely essential. I can't believe this has not been addressed.

Absolutely incredible that in the 3.5 years since this voice suggestion has been out there MS hasn't accepted this as needed. Come on Microsoft - let's get this out there!
In order to support planner as an Enterprise application backup/restore as well as a recycle bin is a requirement. One of the promises of the O365 cloud is data availability, this needs to include ability to restore from user errors.

Agree! Please work on it!
You can't be providing a software without a recycle bin and the ability to get back deleted content. This is an absolute must for every software and service!
Just managed to delete a bucket with mobile app. Surprisingly easy to do as the delete OK wasn’t clear that I was deleting a bucket of 30+ tasks with status. Now need it back. Microsoft - having a 4+ year old request without a work around is tough to swallow.
Also note the requests here:
While demo'g Planner to another group considering using it, all tasks in a plan disappeared! I had created a new Plan and was deleting the new Plan and now the tasks for an old plan went missing; make that two old plans. The tab for the plan is still displayed, the plan and tasks are still at PlanHub, but how does one return the tasks to Teams plan? Folks there were 190 tasks. There appears to be no way to restore by linking to the plan at the hub, drag/drop, copy, and of course there is no recycle for this product. Have said right along this product is unstable and do not encourage using it for any serious project planning as the time loss to replace is huge.
