Add Recycle for deleted tasks in Plan
Currently there is no possibility to restore deleted tasks and no option to restrict deletion. Assigned person can delete task and say after that haven't seen it.
In other case, deletion can be done by reason. Nevertheless, ability to restore is important.
Both situations can be handled by old good Recycle for deleted tasks, placed under Plan options. With ability to restore task with all important info: attaches, comments, check list etc. Restore of bucket and labels is nice to have.
Thanks, Ivan

Seems that it is clearly not a focus area for MS as long project server and cashflow still exists.

it is crucial for any team to track the tasks and we can not control any plan user from deleting his own tasks

4 years now that people are asking this features "ASAP", saying it's critical, standard, basic, major, important feature... and not a single answer by Microsoft.
Seriously ? -

needs to be implemented asap! otherwise this would never be a business tool.

Please allow task deletion only by administrator

If atleast this is implemented, it becomes easy for an admin to control and manage. Imagine a situation that an employee wants to ruin the business and can delete the tasks to create a big problem. This issues must be addressed by Microsoft on priority.

Please either allow recycling or give owner ability to restrict members from deleting tasks.

There are many risks involved without it for administrators and users and they are serious enough to consider planner as an ineffective tool.
It is frustrating to wait for a basic and necessary item and more than this discover that people ask for this since 2017. -

I would not know that who in the teams accidentally deleted the task, so if there is a recycle for deleted task, at least I can restore it.

I am less concerned with restoring deleted tasks than I am with needing to move files. With COVID-19 and remote access changes, our IT teams are inundated with new rules for configuration and they are wiping out OneDrive and SharePoint locations. I need to be able to back it up somewhere on a hard drive until they fix their cloud issues. This is a lot of work wasted. It is hard enough trying to make a copy of the OneNote workbook that no longer can be synced.
