Add Recycle for deleted tasks in Plan
Currently there is no possibility to restore deleted tasks and no option to restrict deletion. Assigned person can delete task and say after that haven't seen it.
In other case, deletion can be done by reason. Nevertheless, ability to restore is important.
Both situations can be handled by old good Recycle for deleted tasks, placed under Plan options. With ability to restore task with all important info: attaches, comments, check list etc. Restore of bucket and labels is nice to have.
MS Planner is unusable piece of junk. MS stole design from Trello but as usual they deliver semi usable product. The fact that task can be deleted without ability to recover makes MS Planner unusable piece of junk. Who would want to loose content.

This is indeed VERY VERY Important to have!
I've also copied a plan today to demo how Planner is used, then 2 completely different plans in other channels were affected and the old data is lost ... Not sure how this is acceptable.
A type of recycle bin is a must so such situation can at least be saved at a later point.
Auto - backup / restore could also help.
Looking forward to find a restore option in Planner. I just killed my teams' plan. There is no way to bring it to life again. Bye!
One of our team members accidentally just deleted a bucket with over 70 tasks! Most of them were completed, but we use it with Power BI to track projects. How there is no backup function integrated in Planner seems completely ridiculous. Had no idea till this happened...
It is unacceptable in a collaboration environment to not be able to undo/restore deleted information. I can not recommend us to continue using this undeveloped tool for any serious or critical project.
Recycling bin and audit history please! It's a HUGE risk for orgs managing a lot of projects to allow anyone to delete a task without being (1) about to recover them and (2) know who did it.

This is a big issue for us. Is there anything on the roadmap for Planner Backups? Where exactly are these files stored?
Yes we really need this
I need this.
The "use an existing plan" function to copy plans replicates the plan completely. So when I made changes to my new plan, the original plan also changed! I don't understand this!
Anyway, i need to revert it.
Yes, we need this!
YES I agree We NEED a Recycle Bin. Only the plan 'owner' must have the access to VIEW / EDIT tasks in the recycle bin.
We use Microsoft planner for tracking monthly accounting close process steps. It tracks 400+ tasks every month which are assigned to 40+ members. It would be very difficult to find if someone has deleted any task intentionally or unintentionally. Owner / Admin SHOULD HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO MONITOR THIS.
Please provide a response ASAP. Thanks
Please address this at the EARLIEST.
We really need this. I deleted a task by mistake while trying to move it to another tab. (The two menu items are right next to each other). There is no confirmation of deletion. It really impacts our work.
Or can you please add a new status as "Deleted"? And once a task is deleted, it gets moved over there?
Please consider this feature request ASAP. Thanks!
A simple user option that could be controled by the creator that removes the ability to delete anything (web interface or app).
pls add function to restore the task after delete, as recently I have trouble when member delete task accidenly, and we have no function to recover it.
quite desperate for this function. someone deleted our task today and we are unable to tell who / restore it!

I understand there is a push from Microsoft to rollout Teams to their enterprise customers. If MS are looking for greater footprint, then they will need to invest in the product to enhance user experience. Please provide a timeline on basic feature sets requested by user community.....
Looks like it is so hard for them to add this option.
3?4 years? And nothing happens...
Still no news ...
