I want a "Convert to Task Planner" button for emails
Most of our tasks come in via email, a simple button to convert it to a planner task would be imperative, otherwise it renders the planner a little bit pointless for us.
As an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!
To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!
Here’s more information on the To-Do’s task experience within Outlook: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/using-microsoft-to-do-with-outlook-com-416865a1-0c4d-4e69-af6f-f98ffce3747c
Yes, such as Outlook has a Save to OneNote.... this would be helpful to save to the One Note inside of the actual project!

Agree. I want to use Planner to manage CV's I receive from agencies, their status, actions etc. At present I simply forward these e-mails to my 'Recruitment' Trello board address. I see no comparable method in planner to get all the information and attachments of the e-mail into planner.
Great Idea! Especially like the idea to be able to open a linked email in Outlook from the task itself. Voted.
Planner Pro Plugin does link the Email(s) to a Task. But you can only open the linked Tasks from the email. would be nicer to open bidirectional. Open the linked Outlook Emails from the task itself - Would be perfect!!

Great idea. Is available with the Planner Pro add-in (for a fee).
We have this available in our CRM Insightly where we get a wiget below our email and can create a new task directly from the email. Saves a lot of time and you directly have all info from the email inside of the task
great idea! voted

This is a really cool idea, especially if you plan to use Planner also as a ticketing system. Thanks.
