I want a "Convert to Task Planner" button for emails
Most of our tasks come in via email, a simple button to convert it to a planner task would be imperative, otherwise it renders the planner a little bit pointless for us.
As an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!
To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!

Please, develop this feature great number of tasks born in the email. Is very slowly create tasks handly in planner

Getting things in place between Planner and To-Do is good, but what about the original issue: getting the ability to add a task in Planner from Outlook - especially in a corporate setting, not outlook.com

We are trying to use Planner to manage productivity within teams. There is a lot of resistance in asking our people to use multiple applications simultaneously. By allowing users to convert an email in their mailbox into a task on Planner, and immediately add the attachment to the task with ability to determine due dates.. ALL ON OUTLOOK will definitely be well received.

The organizational Office365 users have been waiting for this functionality for YEARS. Planner still isn't linked to Outlook for us. Flagged emails need to be translated to Planner Tasks. What is the point of using this system if there is no functionality across apps?
I look forward to the new Teams Tasks by Planner and To-Do... but it includes everything except the most obvious/easiest way to create tasks: FLAGGED EMAILS!
Please include Flagged emails in Teams Tasks. Flagged emails show up in To-Do, but then don't get transferred to Teams Tasks....

Hi all! I was really frustrated with this as I wanted to use Planner as in internal support ticketing system. Well, turns out that with some template flows (with Power Automate) you can have much of this functionality. For example flagged emails can go directly to a Plan. Check it out, it is really easy to implement.

Another voice for being able to have a task move from TODO --> Planner triggered by Outlook. The Planner --> TODO is unfortunately not as useful as a majority of things I want to plan arrive in my inbox first.

I've had a look at To do - it isn't as good as Planner and doesn't have the Trello-style board look. I want Outlook to integrate with Planner, not to be pushed to using To-Do as a second best.

1 We use OneNote to write Meeting Minutes
a1) Tasks to be assigned to a person using Outlook To-Do tasks (use a tag = exists today)
+ From Outlook tasks - can view content in specific task in OneNote (exist today)
- From Outlook tasks - % completed to be reflected into OneNote (Not existing today)
a2) MS To-Do, goes through Outlook To-Do tasks == same result as (a1)
b1) Tasks are assigned to a person in Planner tasks (use a tag = Not existing today and no WA)
- From Planner tasks - can view content in specific task in OnNote (Not existing today and no WA)
- From Planner tasks - % completed to be reflected into OneNote (Not existing today and no WA)
b2) MS To-Do, work the same as (b1) - (Not existing today and no WA)
2. When assigning a task in OneNote, there might already exist a task in either Outlook To-Do tasks or in Planner.
(a1) It should be possible to connect to this task, as we avoid double registration
(a2) It should also be possible to add more information into the task

What's the latest on this planned feature? It looks to me like the last update was a year ago with the status change to "planned"....?
I think the Button option is great; Although, in larger organizations, you may have multiple teams and departments using different Project Software. So the goal in adding this functionality is to increase adoption within organizations. Currently, I'm unable to add DL's to my Planner Project. So if in addition to this Button we could add a "Key Word Triggerable" task creation function. In other words, when you send an email it only creates a card when certain words are within the "Subject Line". Additionally, It should also determine which Planner Project to insert it into Also mentioned in the "Subject Line". SOoo in production, it would act like this:
Internal Customer Team (ICT1) sends an email to Another Internal Team (ICT2) member with details of a task that needs to be completed. The subject line says the following: (Planner Internal Team2 - Complete Testing of ICT1 activity of SANS upgrade.)
Task created would use the (Subject Line) of the email for Task header and all details within the email body would be added to task details. It would assign the task to ICT2's "Planner Internal Team2" Planner To-Do bucket referencing ICT1.
I know this is a lot of background processing activity(That I've seen lots of ITSM tools utilize) but any mountain worth climbing will have serval obstacles that will be overcome on the previous sweat efforts that didn't make sense at the time. "Wax on Wax off Daniel San!"

A task if often starting from an email, therefore, quickly add it from outlook and then properly schedule it in planner would be really nice.
Of course, any information should be kept (as comment ?)
Still needed. Would be great to have it where the user can email the plan and it creates the Task, like Asana, Trello, etc.
