View All Tasks Assigned To a Single Person
Currently tasks can be viewed by Assigned To only within a particular Project. It would be helpful to search globally in Planner by Assigned To rather than having to review assignments Plan by Plan. This change would make evaluation of workloads much easier.
Thanks for sharing your feedback.
We would like to hear more about how you would utilize this view. If you have a particular scenario or set of teammates for which you’d like to view tasks for, please share below!
The Planner Team

I'd like to see all of my tasks in a calendar view without cluttering Outlook with them. Basically, like Basecamp can do.

As a project manager with different projects across multiples Teams I need to follow up with other assignees of tasks and know what is coming up and where they are at. It's very difficult & time consuming to track everyones tasks by going to each Team then opening the planner to see where they are at. Also, to be able to see someone's workload across all of their projects to ensure they don't have too much on their plate to handle would be helpful.
As a manager, I have employees that are a part of multiple teams / plans. I need a way to view all tasks assigned to my employees and be able to prioritize those tasks.

Very helpful for me to use as a manager. In the monthly or weekly progress meetings
Critical for team leaders trying to understand members workload
Heeeellllooooooo? This would be very helpfull
This functionality is mandatory in a moder planner application.
You need to know if you are overscheduling a resource.

Yeah bump. I've just built a work around for this in flow, it was not fun lol.
No update for 18 months? Please update us Microsoft - this is critical functionality.

Can you please get this done for us? I've been waiting for this feature for over a year now. We just need to be able to assess workload by person.
To reiterate a few comments I have seen on the this post:
It would be very helpful to filter tasks assigned to one specific team member so I can see their current workload.

I want to be able to see a schedule and have it show the list of names of who is scheduled on any particular day and any unassigned tasks. This would help me visualize our workload going forward, and whether we are need to find more work for our techs to do, or find more techs to do the work.
As it exists right now, I can see the list of taks, and basically I have to put the person's name in the task description to see that they are working on it without clicking on each thing individually. That's not how it's intended to be used.

This has really got to happen. As a manager, I absolutely need to see the workload and outstanding tasks for each member of my team across every project that they're working on.
Trying to kludge together a Flow to export everything to Excel and run reports is not a reasonable solution for very basic functionality.
This will drive me to abandon Planner if it's not available in the next few months, even if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket.
I manage 22 developers and i need a way to see my team and number of assigned tasks for each and if they are on time or not and be able to drill down to a team member to view all cards and what projects they belong to quickly
It would be very helpful to filter tasks assigned to one of my staff members so I can see their current workload.
MS Planner is great for currently seeing 'My Tasks' however, there isn't a way for me to see all tasks assigned to one of my employees across all plans.
For the greatest functionality, I would like to see the ability to combine multiple plans into a single view, and have all the sorting and filtering options you can. Ultimately, the ability to select a few specific plans to combine, or to select multiple teams and all their plans would be significantly beneficial
the scenario I have is I am a team leader that assigns tasks to my team members. I currently have one plan so I can see it all but due to the number of projects, need to change my organizational structure. I within my team will have multiple plans. My superior has multiple teams that they would benefit from having the ability to look at all tasks on all teams, then filtered to a specific employee from there. My team members are also on the other teams and could also have tasks in those plans.

As a manager, I too would like to see all tasks assigned to my team members across multiple plans.

Agreed. As a leader of three different teams and managing multiple projects across those teams and across the entire organization, I need to be able to at least see the "My Tasks" view for each of my direct reports. It facilitates discussion and weekly leader:employee updates/check-ins and performance management.
