View All Tasks Assigned To a Single Person
Currently tasks can be viewed by Assigned To only within a particular Project. It would be helpful to search globally in Planner by Assigned To rather than having to review assignments Plan by Plan. This change would make evaluation of workloads much easier.

Currently I can see the tasks assigned to a person on a current plan, the problem is that there is no option where I can see the tasks assigned to a member across all plans.
Let's take for exemplo that I have 5 tasks on plan A and 3 on plan B. My supervisor should be able to see in his planner hub that I have 8 tasks assigned to me. Otherwise, I has a supervisor have to go to Plan A and count how many tasks that person has and then go to plan B and do the same again, its time consuming and not a good system. It can be displayed in the same manner has the group by person feature on the plans but it has to be across all plans and it has to be in the planner hub.
Agree with the rest of the comments, being able to see a company/team/group wide tasks and schedule is critical.

I'm a manager and I want to be able to see who has which tasks open, and whether they are making progress. I'd like to stick with all Office 365 tools, but this makes it hard.
Absolutely agree. I tried to persuade my boss to switch to planner, but he won’t because he needs to know who has a big workload already to assign them to a new job (plan). Using different buckets for different jobs just so we have that workload view within one plan isn’t really feasible with more than 20 current jobs.
Totally agree as we roll the system (Teams) with Planner our across our Enterprise (we have 3,000 employees and 330 Retail Stores in 4 counties). Moving to a more agile framework for driving change and innovation - we need good tools. As mentioned by many peers here - leaders need to know what other tasks staff have from other plans. Its very important if you want to scale Teams and Planner.
Any update on this or workaround?
This is a must-have for team management the tool is great but this missing feature is critical for organization.

I manage a team of 20 and we are adopting planner for some projects due to its ease of use and cloud ability, mobile access
However I want to check a person's workload and make sure they are on top of their projects I want to be able to see their task list like the Plan Hub but for someone else
it may even be a security related feature - Enable 1 or more users to access my task list
Then to take it further, add the share my task list with UserA for a plan
There are a lot of nuances to a request like this, so I understand taking a slow approach. My two cents: As most of the individuals in this thread note, Planning for one's team when team members are also members of other teams/projects requires an understanding of what they already have on their plate. The Planner representation only shows you what they have on their plate in ~that~ project. Some exposure to other tasks would be beneficial. My thought would be to utilize the same functionality as in Calendar - tasks in a plan could be Public, Private, or shared with certain limited people. If a task in another plan was Public or shared with me, I could see what a user had been assigned in the present plan, ~and~ what they had been assigned in that other plan. Where a task was not Public or not shared with me,, I could see what a user had been assigned in the present plan, and see that they had been assigned X other tasks in other plans. This allows for informational compartmentalization and privacy, while still giving team members in interlocking teams some understanding of the real availability of their teammates.

I kept searching for this and realized it wasnt available. We really need to see tasks in the standard filters available within each plan but across all plans. Right now only the user can view tasks across all plans, however, as admin we need that view. Kindly expedite.
this would be helpful for project managers< and team managers to be able to see their staff"s work across projects>

This would be a huge improvement and big step toward some basic resource planning. Plus, people should have one central place to see all of their task assignments rather than flipping through multiple plans.
This would be incredible useful and really does hinder the efficacy of the program not having access to view all tasks assigned to people in your team. Since within a team there may multiple people involved in one task , it would be nice to be able to have some differentiation such as "person responsible" and "person supervising" for each tasks.
Any update on this? It's absolutely preventing us from adopting Planner as our PM tool not having the ability to view the tasks of the people I manage.
