View All Tasks Assigned To a Single Person
Currently tasks can be viewed by Assigned To only within a particular Project. It would be helpful to search globally in Planner by Assigned To rather than having to review assignments Plan by Plan. This change would make evaluation of workloads much easier.

Thanks for sharing your feedback.
We would like to hear more about how you would utilize this view. If you have a particular scenario or set of teammates for which you’d like to view tasks for, please share below!
Cheers,
The Planner Team

PLEASE add this as a feature. This seems like a simple ask to change the view from the Tasks dashboard to others besides yourself.

I am in a team with one manager overseeing two senior (incl. me) and two junior staff. The manager assigns tasks to all of us, but the senior staff can also assign tasks to either of the junior staff. For the manager and the two senior staff it would be incredibly helpful to see the workload of the two junior staff before choosing who to assign work to, especially since we are all working remotely due to COVID. If we could see each person's complete list of tasks this would help us make sure that work is distributed more evenly.

This functionality would improve how we organise our workload. Being able to see all tasks for each employee over all plans would be much more efficient during out weekly team meeting.
Can you please give and ETA on when this will be up and running?

It would be nice to see all tasks, for each employee, across all plans, rather than having to visit each plan.
It would also be nice to get an update since this horse seems dead in the water. I mean, over 5000 votes and almost 800 comments and NOTHING?
****! Come on, Microsoft!

I would like to add to this. I manage multiple projects with different matrixed teams underneath. Each week, I need to report out what are the responsibilities for the employees for the following week. In order to do this in planner, I either need to create one big board (but that's too messy with how large our programs are) or I have to cross check 3-5 different boards each week and consolidate the information for each person.
I also need each individual to be able to see their tasks by Sub Plan and by Department so I don't hold the keys to that.
What would be ideal is:
Training Team
Sub Project 1
Sub Project 2
Sub Project 3 etcBe able to assign specific people to each subproject with specific deliverables.
Be able to pull a report by person for all Training Team Sub Projects within a specified date range.
And be able to pull a report by person for specific Sub Projects only. This would be super helpful because then instead of a crazy manually updated spreadsheet I have to cross check, I could pull each week or each month the priorities for each person for my 1:1 meetings with my matrixed employees.

It is essential for a coordination role, to see each person work load. That way he/she can reassign tasks and change duedates. Today we do this in one on one sessions that are very time consuming

This would be very useful.
For me as dept manager it would be nice if we could see all tasks for all individuals in my department. No I have to check multiple plans and channels.
I think the same way I can see ALL MY TASKS, it would be nice o be able to see ALL "THIS PERSONS" TASKS.

This is a MUST HAVE feature. (Project) management needs to be able to review workloads per employee/assignee globally over all existing plans.

Microsoft Planner Development team, recommend you update the "Tell us more" link. It's from three years ago, and the comments below seem to suggest you've gotten just that, MORE, so do you still need more information? If so, approach the request from a manager's viewpoint, he/she has to know what employees are doing without always having to ask. Due to the pandemic, most of us are working remotely, so it would be nice to see all tasks, for each employee, across all plans, rather than having to visit each plan. I think this horse is dead, so it's time to implement. Thanks for your support.

Isn't this enough feedback already? This feature is simply a MUST HAVE for team leaders and I just can't believe something so essential is missing from the core featureset of the app.
Please add it or we are forced to keep using Trello as replacement.

I agree with all the comments on this thread. As a manager it is very difficult see see the workload of one individual without asking them to show you My Tasks as currently tasks can only be viewed by Assigned To only within a particular Plan. It would be helpful to search across the organisation by Assigned To rather than having to review assignments Plan by Plan. We have various plans and people working on them and this would make evaluating the of workloads of team members much easier as they may have tasks in more than one plan.

Have various direct reports and need to know what items/tasks are due or upcoming in future. This would help

Plus one - I am on various planner boards and my manager is unable to see my entire workload unless i show her my Tasks by Planner view. She would prefer to be able to view these on her own and base workloads on that.

Plus one to all the comments below. As a manager, it would be usefull to have the entire workload of a person of the staff in one place.

Plus one to all the comments below. I run a PMO where my team are running and managing a number of projects that are using Planner to track basic work tasks. the lack of an ability to see all of a person's assignments across all plans (similar to how My Tasks currently works in Planner) is a significant hindrance to a wider use of Planner in our org and for the clients we serve.
For a scenario of which team members, if it could at least be tied to my direct reports using Delve, that would be a great start -

As a manager this would be useful. The only way I am able to view the entire workload of one of my staff is to look at the "planner/todo" view with them in teams. It would be nice to be able to see that view for someone without needing them with them to see what their workload across multiple projects is.

My co-workers and I were having an issue with this today. We need to view our DEPARTMENTS projects (all tasks created in planner) and have a SINGLE list view of projects assigned, completed and still active.
Currently my boss needs to be "assigned" to everyone's task to just see the projects without needing to enter every individual channel within teams ( one Team, multiple channels and multiple projects within each tab using planner is how we organize). We need a way to easily view the department's project list.
Knowing what the dept. is taking on as a whole vs individual (still necessary) during specific time frames would be beneficial in deciding if expansion needs to occur, pin pointing specific project time frames can help with future deadline decisions. show which projects reoccur and how often. It's a necessary function Teams and/or Planner (tasks) is missing. -
