View All Tasks Assigned To a Single Person
Currently tasks can be viewed by Assigned To only within a particular Project. It would be helpful to search globally in Planner by Assigned To rather than having to review assignments Plan by Plan. This change would make evaluation of workloads much easier.
Thanks for sharing your feedback.
We would like to hear more about how you would utilize this view. If you have a particular scenario or set of teammates for which you’d like to view tasks for, please share below!
The Planner Team
At the moment I cant do any resource balancing. I need to manually go through all the tasks and somehow try to ensure everyone's task list is correct. As a manager this is crucial
As a manager, it is necessary to review the tasks assigned to each member of my team.
It could be a view such as "my tasks" and there is a feature to select the member of the team. Thus all his/her tasks from all the channels can be seen.
As MS Planner is presented as a tool for team management, this feature is a must have.
I have loads of plans and manage different groups of people who are members of multiple plans as well.
We have to meet and share screens to be able to everything each person is doing. It would be loads quicker to be able to see everyone.
(Just the same as people are saying)
So, the product manager of Planner can't foresee the advantage of a manager being able to see all tasks assigned to its subordinate in a single place?
Do you realise that this inability and the ****** Teams interface are the 2 reasons my organisation loves Outlook - Slack - Asana and laugh off at Outlook - Teams - Planner workflow ?

I totally agree that this is very important! I am on more than one team, so need my resource manager to be able to see everything I'm working on without going to each team's planner individually.
The inability to manage resource assignments across multiple plans makes Planner more of a risk than a solution.

As a manager, I would like to have a status overview of all the tasks by Team member, by plan.
This would be great for follow up actions.
Over different Teams would even be better.

Resource Managers need to see all of the Tasks across plans assigned from separate teams while agreeing to workloads and prioritizing workloads across multiple teams. Resourcing meetings would be much easier if a 'My Tasks' view were available to the Resource manager for all of their resources (people)...a 'Tim's Tasks', 'Steve's tasks', etc.
I would expect a view in Kanban style (same as the unitary plan view, including the same filters) but displaying all tasks across multiple channels, plus a filter by plan (with multi-selection) and the ability to save the filter settings to use them as a collection of presets.

Most of the time, people work on multiple projects at the same time. This feature is a must to easily manage workload across projects for any individual person.
It is a must

Have a calendar view to be able to see all the tasks of all members it's a must! Otherwise, as a project manager, I won't be able to know for that month which members are available to do other tasks.
Planner and teams quickly become a collection of inscrutable silos without the ability to look at tasks for other users and across plans.
I need to be able to view and search for what people have on their plate as a coordinator, manager and peer, before deciding who to assign tasks to. The "My Tasks" view is useful, but seeing what's assigned to someone else is key to making this Planner more viable in the real world of multiple plans and multiple teams.

Knowing about the workload of every member of a Team in all the plans is a essencial feature please do it as fast as you can. Otherwise we are blind.
We create new channels for large-scale projects, and each project has a lot of recurring deliverables (new PowerPoints, one-pagers, emails, etc.). Managers and department heads need to be able to see at a glance what their teams are working on across ALL projects without opening each one individually or creating a redundant catch-all Planner and asking people to update tasks twice.

We are missing this to be able to see ALL our tasks in one view! When available ?

It's quite surprising that this view still hasn't been incorporated.
The main scenario would be managers assigning tasks to their teams: if they can't see the team's real-time existing task allocations, they will assign new tasks with the wrong info, resulting in suboptimal allocation.

It would be the most usfull thing ever. Please do it ASAP. Is the only thing holding my bussines to fully implement this.
Couldn't agree more. Managers need to quickly see what employees are working on or behind on. Can't manage timelines and projects effectively without this. Takes too long to go into each project individually.
This is crazy to me that we can not view all tasks assigned to individual team members across all plans. MS really dropped the ball on this one
