Make it personal
Planner is a very usefull tool to keep my daily, weekly or monthly tasks visually organized. So using it to keep track of the personal tasks, without creating a group, is a must for me.

Personal tasks and group tasks would be very powerful
We are missing the option to create personal planner which shows on the "dashboard" of tasks - please make this available (without the rest of "Teams/Groups".

See also this handful of identical requests here (including this one), in case an admin wants to merge them. Together, they currently total about 55 votes. (Apologies for this duplicate message in these threads, but I'm trying to tie related items together)

Being able to add a personal Planner to MySite would be really helpful. Bonus points for being able to right click an email to add to my personal Planner.
Many people keep track of personal tasks via different methods - like tasks in Outlook, an excel sheet or a piece of paper. It would be great if a Planner was attached to your OneDrive/MyDrive personal SP Online site.
The main reason for this is that you can keep all your tasks in one place without having to add third party software.
I asked a few people in our extended team today where they keep their personal tasks and why they weren't added to a teams planner - and their answer "It does not belong to a team, they are my tasks, either too small or just something I need to do for myself". They really want a personal planner with their own buckets. And then when they look at My Tasks, they will see their complete work load.
Creating an extra group per personal user seems a little bit overkill, especially as a person has their own OneNote and Document library now, so why not a personal Planner?

When you are in an enterprise setting you don't want every person creating their own personal plan and personal email account at your domain. Allowing a personal plan that integrates with tasks in Outlook would be a great feature and help drive adoption. We're testing the waters with my team and we have tried Asana and a few others. What I found some team members doing was using Asana for more than just work and project tasks but also daily life tasks as well. If this were also a ad hoc feature for all users, not just a group plan, I think it would help drive adoption.
You don't have to assign any other team members to your plans. You can have plans where you are the only member.
