Permissions levels that block users to delete or conclude tasks
Any user can conclude, delete, alter due date and do other modifications on any task. Only the task's owner and the group owner should be able to do that.

Planner is really powerful product, especially once used along with rest of O365 apps. But not having a restricted delete option is BIG let down.

Planner is useless without this block or edit permission tool. No reason to use it. An empty box.

Tasks MUST NOT be deleted by people except someone who manages the tasks, neither by purpose nor by mistake. Hope Microsoft checks it and does something asap. totally agree with this comment

I totally agree, what is the point if the user can act as an admin without assigning this role to him.

I think only the group owner should be able to fully delete a task. But the group and task owners should be able to do all other actions.

While we are waiting on MS to do the right thing and implement this change, I was wondering if we (users community) can share best practices and/or efficient ways to work around this flaw?
- How do you work around this in your projects?
- What are the APPs or manual controls you put in place to avoid tasks being deleted or concluded inadvertently?Thank you!

Microsoft should realize that this is not a request for improvement. The user community have detected a flaw in the app and are providing feedback to improve it.
It's time to act on it and release a fix ASAP. Thank you

it´s actually unbelivable that any user when I assign a task ...can just delete the task. When he deletes the task then it is just gone, also for the person who created and assigned the task. Means when anybody by mistake would delete all the tasks I assigned to him then I would not get to know it and I have to write down anywhere else all the tasks just to be sure that no one deleted it. Permissions means here open gate, just delete what you want, no one will notice
