What a shame this is still not implemented yet. How many votes do you need Microsoft to start improving your product? Such a basic function, really! Until this feature is in Planner I'm not even considering changing over from Trello.

Really, more than four years later this is still not available?

The ability to copy and paste an image or a screen shot would be HUGE for the functionality of Planner.

It should be easy to include screenshots directly to the Task, similar to Trello.
Now no other option than to save as a file, and upload.
Please support this functionality in Planner. -

How is this still not here. Where is this on the backlog.

How is this simple feature still not in here? it's way too inefficient to save snips and then have to locate them.

Same as everyone else - it's 2020, uploading screenshots via file upload is beyond ridiculous. Also, same as a lot of people here, the only reason i'm not using this tool.

Same as Johnny, ridiculous to vote for this

It's ridiculous that this is even being voted for. Those hard core engineers sure can do a bunch of good softwares but they have no clue about basic user need. At this point I'm having a hard time believing they're human.
My company have successfully adapted MS teams into our organizations ecosystem. But we are hanging on to Trello for project management.. again... Ridiculous ! -

The rich text editor in Teams supports adding images. Why can't Microsoft just use that same rich text editor in Planner? The lack of being able to paste images has really limited our use of Planner.

It is hard to get users to adopt and use Planner with issues like this. I am getting feedback that they don't want to use it because it is clunky and I can't really argue. Having to save off pics and upload is looking like it could be a show stopper for using Planner.

Wow... 4 years... rich text is something of a rocket science for Microsoft...

Trello and Jira support pasting images directly in the comments. Teams does this too. Planner does not. Planner is a wonderful, fast tool for light project management, but so painful to attach images as files, we often don't bother, either taking time to try to describe the issue in text or leaving out info the assignee needs to do the task properly. Please add support for pasting images directly into Planner description and comments. Ideally, this would be part of a general move to rich text fields like in Teams (bullets, numbered lists, headings, etc.), but embedded images we can add with a simple Ctrl-V is the most important part.

Yes this is a must have! Feels task definition cannot be completed without rich text support

I have to agree completely: an absolute Must Have, I have already wondered what I am doing wrong when inserting. Applies to richtext elements as well as underline, bold, ...

You need to be able to copy pictures in like Trello or it is not even worth bothering with this tool.

Perhaps the best way to solve this and improve overall integration is to just use the existing text entry fields in Teams. Those are fantastic -- they support pasting images, rich text, and edit/delete. All of these are requests here in User/Voice, all are common capabilities in all the similar tools (Trello, Asana, Jira, etc.), and all would be addressed by simply improving the integration with Microsoft's own Teams Chat/Post capability. Consistency and problem solving all in one!

Copy and paste a snip into a task is essential. A picture is worth a thousand words.
