There are too many email notifications send by Planner. Users in our company though those were spams. Please provide a way to manage notification send
More flexibility in when notifications start and how often they are sent. Beginning notifications 7 days in advanced is sometimes not really needed.
We need the ability to disable planner ALL notifications, including summary notifications at the tenant or policy level. It is very confusing for our users to receive notifications from Microsoft planner. We need this capability at the tenant/global policy level so we can apply it to users in a tenant. We cannot make users opt in and out by themselves, and need a global way to stop all Microsoft notifications. Thanks.

I see a lot of requests for a Notification Center or Activity Center in Planner that lists all changes you need to know about.

It would be great if user could choose way of notification he/she prefers.
Today I receive notifications from teams,Outlook and mobile notification.
They are too much noise for me.

Instead of emails - it would be great to incorporate notifications as part of planner tool. For instance, when I log in, it would be great to see a signal on the task itself that a new comment has been made, a new file uploaded, etc. Even if it was similar to your phone where you just see a red circle with a number in it. The number letting you know how many new things are in there. If we had that, it would keep us in the tool and out of email all together.

I would love some granularity. e.g., I don't need emails everyday of the list of tasks for the day - I'm going to open Planner as soon as I get to the computer anyway. But I do generally like if somebody assigns a task to me in the middle of the day.

Notifications about comment in the task are sent to all group (plan) members though Plan has no group email checkboxes checked. Channel (in Teams) is not followed by users.
Assignee does not receive a notification that task is assigned to him (more than strange).
Whatfor user notification settings to receive such message are?
notification is not optimal.... when assigning a task to so, he won't get the message till he writes sth in the loop.
Also people having written sth will be notified although they no longer are dealing with the task....
Only the assigned members should be notified with messages and any change to the task should be listed somewhere (look at TRELLO timeline for example)

Agree with the comments; however, notifications of changes to a task are important. We are using Teams to significantly decrease internal emails and would like to see changes in planner tasks (assignments, checklist changes, status changes, comments, etc.) simply show up in 'Activity' or similar...preferably with toasts ONLY to those assigned to a given task.
I'm unable to roll-out Planner to my company due to this issue and would love to see this addressed.
Totally agree! Notifications should be an option but not a feature of the tool itself. Everytime we modify something here all of our team receive a notification email. We use it to have our internal meetings and check everything we need to review, but the notifications emails are a pain **********.
It would be great if you could only get notifications at the task level. If there was an ability to choose which tasks you received notifications on that would be great and what your received notification on within the task.

Daily update digests sound like a good option, or at least granularity on which type of updates to receive.
i.e. "Only receive updates when task assigned to me"
emails should be for tasks. Not every time i update the notebook
For some reason, one member of my team is receiving notifications every time a task is created, but no one else on the team is receiving notifications except upon task completion.
Hi and same as others. Planner desperately needs better notifications. All that can be done right now is to subscribe to notifications on a plan. As a result, every time a card on the plan is changed everyone gets a notification whether relevant or not. Also, no notification goes out whenever a new card is created. I would like to see the ability to subscribe to all updates or only updates if the issue is assigned to me. There are a lot more ideas of notications, but just this change would be so helpful.
Also it doesn't look like Unsubscribing to Email Notifications actually works - we still getting an email following every single comment or task created - it's crazy! It's just filling up everyone's inboxes in the company.
Please, please PLEASE sort this out!! It can't be so hard to simply click something that subscribes you/unsubscribes you to notifications by task/by bucket etc?!!!?? Every other app (eg Trello and all the other competitors to The Planner) have managed it!!
