Allow Tasks to be moved between Plans/Boards.
Currently you can only move Tasks to different Buckets within a Plan/Board. It would be very useful to be able to also copy or move them to different Plans/Boards that you are a member of.

Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.

Let us know what you think below! Thanks again for taking the time to vote for this idea.
Cheers,
The Planner Team

export task or selected tasks as template - import task or template of tasks in to another plan.

This is essential. For example, I have a monthly process with 30 steps. With Trello, I just created a template task then copy it to my current bucket every month. With Planner, I'd have to type those 30 tasks every time in a checklist, which I am not going to do.

There are a bunch of duplicates on this idea, so I hope the collective vote will be tallied! As an example of a use case here, I have a plan with my direct reports and one with my director. It has honestly been a huge help in streamlining our 1:1s and status reporting, but would be tons better if I could take the tasks from one to the other instead of having to manually organize and recreate.

A definite +1 on this, we need to be able to move/copy buckets between plans.

I also need to copy and move buckets to other plans.

This is a good idea...for example I would copy tasks from the many different plans I am a member of and then put them in my "Personal Plan", and re-prioritise, re-bucket, change due dates, etc., etc.

+1 on all of this. No copy functionality make serious consideration of usage very difficult.

The ability to create copy of a bucket is a must have. As Michael Turl pointed out earlier, we also have multiple projects following the same list of tasks.

I would greatly appreciate this feature. As others have said, as projects and tasks evolve - so do those involved. An example would be for "handing off" a project to another team once all of your team's tasks are completed.

I also require being able to copy and move a task from one plan to another. Adding this feature would greatly improve the usability of Planner.

The ability to copy tasks from one bucket to another bucket is a must have. Currently, unless I have missed something, we only have the ability to move a task between buckets Also, it would be great to copy a bucket in its entirety. That would allow us to create a template bucket that could contain all the tasks related to something like 'typical project set-up'. We could then copy the template every time a new project was started.

I'm in the same boat. Can you please add this feature to Planner?

Would be good to be able to have the tasks linked so that status changes in one plan reflect in the other plan. This could be as simple as assigning the task to a plan, once the ability to have multiple assignees comes in.

This is a key feature because tasks tend to evolve across different teams. So we would want one team to work on the initial phase and then pass it to another team, to work on phase 2

Would be keen to see this feature added as plans / tasks are implemented so do plans evolve.
This would allow management of tasks across plans rather than having to recreate them. -
