Allow Tasks to be moved between Plans/Boards.
Currently you can only move Tasks to different Buckets within a Plan/Board. It would be very useful to be able to also copy or move them to different Plans/Boards that you are a member of.
Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.
Here’s an article to learn more about this feature: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=872349

The Planner Team
Are there any enhancements in place to be able to move attachments between planners, or at least have the attachment linked from the new card?
Really need to move tasks between plans

Copy task isn't allowing to copy multiple tasks as a single operation and hence current functionality is helpful but tedious.
Drag and drop would be more efficient. Thanks
Please add the ability to MOVE the task to another plan board. This would be extremely helpful to move projects through different departments.
please allow FULLY move task (all properties/comments), so we can use Planer for Sprint planing (with Backlog) by drag'n'drop.
We would like to use Planer as a asana replacement.
It is great you can copy tasks, but we really want to MOVE a task to a different board. Not have the old task still remaining
Need ability to move items between plans. Please - by drag and drop.

Add ability to copy attachments, and all other features when you copy to another plan/board.
Move! Move! Move! - not Copy, please
So you can copy (which is a pain as mentioned many times) but the comments on the tasks are not copied over to the new task, which is a waste of time for us. This product is not ready for production as it stands. Many other products have the basic requests we are all making.

Why is this suggestion marked as completed? There is still no move feature for the tasks. Copying tasks might end up with unwanted duplicates which some user don't even know about.
I agree with the comments below - marking this as completed because you can "copy task" is not the same as being able to move it. If you want to move the task - now you have to copy it to the new location, then go back and delete it from the current location. And you would want all the attachments, assignments, etc. to go with it possibly in the move so those should all be allowed as options as well, not have some of the choices grayed out.
I shall NOT be marked as COMPLETED. I understand it can be complicated to move assignments or labels, because the new plan can have different team or different labels. But I can't understand why isn't it possible to copy attachments?

It should be a basic functionality of a Planner-tool to MOVE a task between plans and keep ALL information attached to the task. A BIG lack with the current functionality is that assignments, comments and attachments can't be copied between plans.

So I need to copy Task by Task? We have like 300 Tasks in a Plan? Maybe we should move to Trello? Or is Microsoft fixing this soon :-( What you want is:
1. Create a Plan Template
2. Create a New Team, select your Plan Template
3. The full Plan is copied to the new Team and all Tasks will follow
This is not rocket science.. right?
The request isn't "completed". Being able to incompletely copy a task is a start, but not the entire request. The ability to copy or move the task in its entirety (including comments) is necessary. I like the ability to select which components to copy, but we still need to be able to copy comments, labels and the choice of copy OR move.

Using Microsoft Flow, I need to be able to copy a COMPLETE, ENTIRE task from one bucket to another and / or from one Planner to another Planner preserving the Checklists, dates, assignments and attachments, etc. Purpose #1 : copying/moving the completed task to an "Archive" Planner. Purpose #2 : copying from a "template" task to create and making new assignments.
Moving would be useful. There are times when just one task in a complex plan needs to be done by someone outside of the group. I usually discover that as I'm creating the plan or as it evolves.
It would be great to then move that one task to a more appropriate group.
eg I'm creating a video production plan and discover one task I need the admin group to do. They don't need to be aware of all the other tasks in the video production. It would be easier to finish creating the plan I'm working on in the video production group and then move the one task to the admin group.
@Spencer your idea may be a way to solve the scenario I described above
