We need an update on this. You obviously missed the boat with this feature as 99% of people/companies need the ability to copy to the same group and copy over the attachments, etc. There hasn't been an update in almost a year. What's happening?

I copied a plan that was with a specific Sharepoint site and wanted it in that same Sharepoint site but....instead...the copy created it's own Sharepoint site. Is there a way to move it to the site I intended it to go?

It is great that you can copy plans - but why aren't the attachments also copied?! I have to then spend time attaching things again. Please can you include this feature in the next update?!

I was sent here to talk about task templates. Doesn't seem like the right place but...
I want to create a task with assignments and checklists etc and be able to use it whenever I want. It would be nice to when we choose to add a task that an option to use a predefined template would show up. Just copying a task won't work well across plans as it's hard to find. -

Is there anyway to copy an existing plan to an existing group though? I create hundreds of planners a year that are the exact same for each project we do. It would be a HUGE time save to be able to copy a "template planner" to an existing SharePoint group.

Wondering if this "copy of..." could be added to another team? Seems in Teams you can only add an existing Plan that is already within the Team.

This is great news. Thank you. Something to add to the "future release" list is the ability to copy a plan into the same plan space/sharepoint. Currently it builds a new sharepoint for each instance of a copy. That creates terrible proliferation/confusion for my users.

Very frustrating that when using Planner from within Teams, tasks are linked across ALL projects. So when I tick a task as being completed in one Plan, it is marked as completed across all the rest of the plans too! We need some way of copying plans without all the copies remaining linked to the original and all the rest! This program is perfect except for this fundamental error that makes it useless.

Adding to Kerry's and Maria's points, I too find it frustrating and useless having linked tasks across copied plans. This is a great setup to make some serious mistakes across several projects if planner is the only tool being used. Is this something that Microsoft is going to fix?

So frutstrating that you are not able to copy a plan to an existign group or at least within a group. Or as an alternative to copy mutliple tasks from on eplan to another - as you cn do for every single task already...

But where is the ability to copy a plan within the TEAMS app? I just want to copy a plan within Planner within Teams.
And when copying, I'd like to see the option to retain assignments on tasks rather than have them wiped out. We repeat a task each month with the same people assigned to the same tasks.

it is not possible to copy a blank plan in Microsoft teams or to associate a copied plan with another channel.
This feature would be useful for us to manage recurring projects because we could manage projects from Microsoft Teams without having to have a second open program like Microsoft Planner -
Maria commented
It copies the plan but to Kerry's point, if I edit a plan on a channel it changes on the original plan.

Is there any update on this? It feels like it is close to working but just needs refinement. You can copy the plan fine but you can't then import that into other teams channels from what I can see.

This is broken! When you copy a plan, all the tasks are linked to each other! When I mark the task done on one plan it marks it done on ALL duplicated plans. Pretty dang useless. Sorry, y'all!

Hello, I am trying to copy a plan within MS Planner but whenever I click on the three dots (...) in the planner hub I only have the option to copy link. How do I get the option to copy the plan within MS Teams? Thanks

Mark me down as another vote for the 'copy bucket' functionality - I want to be able to get rid of the fillable PDF checklists I'm currently using to track new user on boarding procedures, and Planner *seems* like the obvious place to do that - but I can't seem to create a 'template' set of tasks and spawn off a new 'bucket' from that template to accommodate my scenario. This would have seemed to be an obvious use case to me, but I've been waiting years to see it come to fruition.

There needs to be an option to move the plan to the Group/Team of your choice.
Without this limits this new feature -

If i search Copy Buckets in this forum there are 911 different requests that have split teh total vot for this simple funcionality.Planner Team request -
can you merge multiple requests with the same title request under one title and see what the total votes are please.

Please, everybody, go vote up https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/37078834-copy-plan-to-existing-group . It looks very much as if MS is no longer monitoring this request as it got "completed".
The link I provide holds the specific question for what everybody still needs.
