Provide backup/previous versions
There needs to be some way to restore from accidental data loss, even if it's only 1 or 2 restore points. I can guarantee if I implement this in my company, there will be multiple instances of deleted tasks and buckets that need to be recovered.

How is this not a feature?! Seriously? - There is not even a warning that a task will be permanently deleted, it's just 15 seconds where you can undo, and then *poof* gone forever.

The possibility of data backup and restore is elementary for the professional use of Planner.

Please add functions like:
-Create and restore a backup for Planner und its specific plans
-Version history to restore a change on a task
-Prevent user from deleting tasks in plans with an addition dialog like "Please confirm deletion of this task".
-Add a recycle bin to restore deleted tasks and plans of planner -

Accidentally deleted a plan with no way of recovery. I mean some of these have so much data in them. Maybe even a type "DELETE" to confirm would have prevented the accidental tap. Maybe just an 30 day archive before trashing would be helpful.

Just accidentally had a user delete a whole plan but not an associated group. There is, as I understand, no means of restoring this. That's frankly unacceptable.
For a tool designed for planning, that wasn't planned out very well.

This is a must needed feature before I can recommend Planner to our clients. The ability to have a few restore points or the ability to recover accidental or malicious data loss is a basic need in 2020.

It is not acceptable for every member to have the ability to delete a Plan AND no way to backup/restore a plan.

Is this feature already in the product?

Yes, agreed. It could even take shape as a built-in backup/restore functionality as well as the ability to export/import plan data as json or csv.

Backup is extremely important and should be relatively easy to implement. Dear Microsoft, please prioritize this request.

Not at all acceptable to have an teams planning board disappear and no way to restore it. Aggravated because a Team member can delete the plan just by clicking a box when deleting a tab. This product should never have been release with this defect.
