Please add "Search" Task in order to find a task quickly

Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!
Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.
This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.
Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!
Thanks,
The Planner Team

When using Teams to view a plan, please make a simple search function (e.g. CTRL+F) to search within the plan, to find tasks and task content.
When plans become quite complex, navigating them can be time consuming, a search function would help a lot. -

Agree with others that this is fundamental, and long overdue. I acknowledge comments you made a year ago about widening the filter meta search, and cross-plan functionality, which are helpful I'm sure. However, if I were triaging, I'd start with a basic text search that searches task comments, and not just the task name.

With all the recent announcements concerning the name change from Planner to Tasks, it seems like there ought to be an update from the dev team that is more recent than 365 days . Maybe this is where "365" gets it's name?

Not having this is a deal breaker to using Planner for anything beyond a small project. Microsoft Planner Team, please respond with an update on when this will be available

I just don't get why there is NO search, OneNote has a fantastic search that looks everywhere in your notes. The use videos of Planner show adding a task here and there but real life you are adding tasks all over the place and just finding a name can be daunting. Doesn't seem to be a real time saver.

typical MS implementation : good looking app that is missing major basic functionality.
perhaps MS need to rename user voices to "ignoring users voices" -

Add a real search by keyword for Planner! Sounds to me ridiculous such a features isn't already included. Some Microsoft executives are sleeping @ Microsoft!!!

A search bar is available on mobile app, but not on web app. This needs to change. It is difficult to search for plans.

Can't even believe the basic feature is missing! Are you planning on the organizations using MS Teams as a secondary product and not put most of their business on Teams? If you have thousands of tasks on planner, how do you envision user to find the one that needs to be worked on? I vote for this basic feature to be a top priority.

My organization recently adopted Teams and I've been trying to use Planner. It's so sad that Planner has no search function. Unbelievable that the developers haven't even scheduled this work one year later.
