Please add "Search" Task in order to find a task quickly

Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!
Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.
This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.
Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!
Thanks,
The Planner Team

Is this now in process?

please please add search: all the 'done'/ 'completed' tasks are just as informative (even more so) than active tasks. Use of Filter function, as suggested elsewhere is an extremely sub-optimal approach.

The keyword search that is currently implemented is helpful, but what would be even more helpful for my team would be the ability to search by assignee. In other words, they would love to be able to search for all the tasks assigned to a particular person, so that they don't have to scroll through the long list of names and then select a name (which is proving to be pretty cumbersome at the moment).

We will be moving to another platform if Microsoft can't add a simple feature as search. So disappointing!

My opinion: Widen the search option with a simple fulltext search.

Just found out that Planner Search RESULTS will only return 100 plans in the list, regardless of how many might fit the search parameter. This is a huge problem! Anyone else realize this? Anyone seen any discussion of fixing it?

Just found that you can filter on a keyword (or any word in the buckets) which is similar to search... :)

Lack of a robust search function in Tasks is the #1 barrier to the adoption of TEAMS in our environment.

Without a basic search function, Planner is effectively unusable for large projects.

Even a basic search function in Planner would be a huge help at this point

Agree with everyone else - the search on Teams is great, I use it for everything but can't use it on Planner!

Please please can the search function be added on tasks - makes it almost impossible to remember what has been added if you have a long list and other than scrolling and filtering etc , then it would be much easier to add the search . Fear this excellent planner becomes void of user friendly nature without it . Come on Microsoft you can do better than this

It would be nice to be able to search for all updates (bucket changes, comments, progress changes, etc.) within a given date range, too.

Filter is nice for filtering on some things. But full text search in all fields is necessary for the product to work.
I am planning to leave Planner and go back to Excel while there is no search -

Please add text/keyword search to the planner. Very time consuming and frustrating without it.
