Ability to paste a screenshot directly from clipboard
By pasting Cnrl + V should automatically upload the screenshot as a file to a dedicated folder whithin the Office group and link it to the task within Planner
It is a real bummer because with this, comments not saving if it has header information and the view window always going back to the top when you click away (also not remembering comments should you accidentally close the comments window) make this product more hassle than its worth when Trello exists and does the same stuff without the spam, oh, did I mention the constant spam.
in the Word web client, OneNote web client, GMAIL... :-D it works beautifully... can't the behaviour be implemented in Planner, too?
I agree that Planner is not a viable app without this, for software development where screenshots are needed and should be immediately visible, not an attachment.

I very much want to be able to paste screen shots/images into Task comments or the original Task description. This is a must for using Planner for software development -- users need to be able to provide screen captures to show issues, which is itself necessary to get the task done.
However, it's equally important to me that the images appear directly inline in the comment, as they do in comments in Teams. Comments should be editable and support images (and other rich text/WYSIWYG formatting). Pasting it as an attachment would save a step and be an improvement, but still forces the assignee to have to then find and open each screen capture. Please add support for inline images, just like we already have in Teams. It's perfect that way we can paste images in Teams chat/post pages (and most other Planner competitors like Asana, Trello, and Jira).
I also would like to add screenshots into comments like it's possible in teams chats. This would a lot to explain task results or discussion.

Planner is literally not a viable app without this.
I end up having to have a trello board and a planner board for the same **** thing just because i cant add images except as an attachment to planner.
It also takes years to keep saving screenshots and then uploading them.
Its literally copy and paste integration, how is this not part of the minimum viable product

Why is this still not yet implemented?!?!
Please develop this! As long as this is not possible, sPlanner is no option for our Company. Thank you.
Good to see that Microsoft gives a rat's *** about user feedback and improvement suggestions. This request has been made back in 2016 and nothing happened since then. Thank you Microsoft!
Please add this function....

This is the most missed feature in Planner... Who thought adding pictures to a task was a good idea?
- Upload a picture to some channel
- Open Task
- Add attachment
- Search for the channel
- Search a picture that was posted in the channel. (or should I say "try to find"? because there is no search textbox there)
- Paste a picture by a link.
- The picture is added but without preview. The task has just some placeholder image instead of the added picture...
Jesus Christ.. I am forced to work with this **** and it is such a pain **********.
This is such a time saver, Trello does it so well.... I'm always taking screenshots and pasting into Trello.
Please add this functionality.

We need this for our business processes.

It's too much hassle to use the Add Attachment functionality. My company recently switched to Office 365, but I will continue to use Trello until Planner has the ability to Ctrl + V directly from the clipboard.

What’s the status here?
This is a really critical feature imho. There’s some saying about pictures and words.
As a few others have mentioned, I’d prefer if a separate image file was NOT created. Keep in mind this is for drafts, simple markups etc.
This is a critical feature and is the reason we are not switching from Asana.
In Trello this is possible... Just sayin'

Adding screenshots is quite inconvenient at the moment. Would really enjoy to have it streamlined.
