The date format is fixed to mm/dd/yyyy, could this please be selectable based on your region - for example we use dd/mm/yyyy
As an update, since we’ve still been seeing issues around date formatting, so we’re pursuing another fix that should help: If you’re using Planner within Teams, we will default to using the same language/local as Teams.
If you’re seeing this issue persist outside of Teams and your language/locale is set properly for your Office account, please let us know in the comments below!

International date formats would be awesome to avoid confusion

Quite annoying that planner doesn't respect the site regional settings that are set for the SharePoint site hosting it. This is a MUST.
At least linking the plan via the Teams Desktop App respects the regional settings of the PC.
Any update? Useless app for non-US users without supporting international date formats!

This is really confusing for users please can this be changed
Do we have an update on this? It seems crazy that Planner isn't made to take into account other non - US locations automatically.
Planner is dead without date formatting.
The US date format is not practical for 99% of the rest of the world - and makes no sense to anyone other than Americans.
Please find a way to change this - it is comical that it cannot be done by now.
Is there no update on this? It seems like a pretty basic feature...
Please allow for regional date settings in Planner. It's really tough to work well with this app as it is currently (mm/dd).

International date options please!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I get a due time as well as a due date? That would make it so much useful for us.

This is preventing adoption by our clients as they find the date confusing. Please introduce regional / local selection of format as per the rest of O365
Version history of files still shows US date format.

Well spotted Anonymous, and it looks like the Planner team have implemented your quick fix immediately with no comment. I wonder if they've been sat scratching their heads for the last 9 months wondering why nothing was fixing it...
A quick fix for this is to bookmark the URL for Planner but change the /EN-US/ part to your country region, e.g. /EN-UK/ or /EN-AU/. The dates then display in the correct format for that region.
It's pretty poor that this issue has been open for almost a year and Planner still doesn't pick up your country settings from your Office 365 profile.

I find mm/dd really confusing. Please change ASAP.

dealbreaker. I'm off to trello.
Staff will simply not adopt planner, before this feature is enabled.
Is this an over-site? This needs to be corrected. There are other countries in the world.

Let me add my voice to this request. This is not an obscure localisation requirement. It should be supported and, at the very least, a Microsoft person should indicate when it will be.
In Office365 settings it asks for date format preference but planner seems to ignore this and has no way to configure.
