Date format
The date format is fixed to mm/dd/yyyy, could this please be selectable based on your region - for example we use dd/mm/yyyy
Thanks

As an update, since we’ve still been seeing issues around date formatting, so we’re pursuing another fix that should help: If you’re using Planner within Teams, we will default to using the same language/local as Teams.
If you’re seeing this issue persist outside of Teams and your language/locale is set properly for your Office account, please let us know in the comments below!
Thanks,
The Planner Team

I'm in Australia and want to use DD/MM/YY date format (or other variations but in the same sequence). It is very frustrating to have to constantly think (for example) - Am I seeing the 8th of January or the 1st of August?. All my date formats are set to English(Australia) or other non-US formats, yet US date format persists.
I would also prefer to have the week start on Monday, not Sunday.

All languages/region settings set to English (UK) (Office account, Windows login, MS Edge (Chromium)) but I still occasionally get the en-us page.
I find that the app switcher on O365 pages seems to be the culprit for me, sometimes the link for the Planner app contains en-us...
Also when creating new tasks it uses the US calendar format (Sunday as first day of week), this always happens regardless of anything else. -

I've set my Office account Region Format to UK, but Planner on browser (Firefox) still shows the US format.

I'm using Planner via Firefox. Firefox regional settings are set to Australia, my Planner settings are set to UK. But I'm still seeing the US format. Please help! :o)

I have my langauge in Teams set to English (UK). In planner, dates display correctly but input incorrectly. So, 2 Nov 2020 displays as 2/11/2020 - correct - but if set a due date using the keyboard "2/11/2020" is stored as 11 Feb 2020 - incorrect.
Actually I have an update to this. The display of 2 Nov is correct (2/11/2020) in the task list, BUT it is incorrect (11/2/2020) in the task dialog that opens if you double click a task. -

While you're at it, could you please have the week start on Monday instead of Sunday?

How on earth is this still an ongoing issue?

Could you include an option to force data to YYYY-MM-DD?

I CAN NOT BELIEVE this is STILL an issue. Why when my regional settings are set to English (Australia). You can manage it for Outlook in a browser why not Planner. There are other countries besides the USA!!

Using Version 1.3.00.21759 of Teams (an August 2020 release) I changed my Language in Teams->Settings to English (New Zealand) and then chose 'Save and Restart'. Dates in Planner are now correct for New Zealand.
Remember to 'Save and Restart' for it to take effect! -

New to planner, just set up my first plan in the hope of selling it to my team, and suddenly I realise all the dates are back to front. All my regional settings are correct for O365 & SharePoint. Planner is supposed to seamlessly be part of O365, and yet 4 YEARS after release it still doesn't integrate regional settings? This is unbelievably poor response from Microsoft. I'm using Planner outside of Teams

I'd like to add my voice to this too - this really needs to change; my locale is set to UK everywhere I can find it and the planner data in teams is showing a UK format, so why on earth can't the web app do the same?
Also irritating to find that the last comment from MS was over a year ago.

I am experiencing this issue on tasks.office.com in Chrome and Firefox. No matter what date format I choose, after saving the settings and reloading the page, dates are still displayed m/d or mm/dd/yyyy.

Pretty sure I found the manual way of addressing this issue: Settings in your profile icon top right, "General" > "Language" > "App language....". Changed this from USA to NZ and now my planner tasks are in the correct date format.
Hope this helps someone.

Planner is a great tool - but please fix this date issue - how can we plan when we are in this date situation 05/06 or 06/05? So confusing - please can we have GB dates as standard when Teams is already set as GB.
