Include Task Priority

Hello All! The priority feature is complete! Priority is rolled out to production across the Web and Teams. It’s also available in the mobile app an in the beta endpoint for the MS graph API. We’ve also updated the charts view to include a priority chart .
Please give it a try and let us know what you think! If there’s something you’d like us to improve upon, please find and vote on that suggestion or create a new one so we can prioritize accordingly.

DISLIKE this idea. The point of the tool is to sort priority by top to bottom in a column. Priority type of Low, Medium and High is so old school. I would discourage my users from using the tool if that were added.

Task Priority can be created in the following way:
1. Create a TASK in any Bundle, or Click on any Existing TASK
2. You will now see Label 1 - Label 6 on the right panel with the colors Purple, Red, Orange, Lime Green, Teal Green and Sky Blue.
3. Rename those LABELS to suit your PRIORITIES and rename it to HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW - OR - go ahead and name it as per your naming conventions, Darth Vader priority, Yoda priority, Skywalker priority and R2-D2 priority. -

This is a crucial element to "planning". Currently, we list the cards in priority order within a bucket. Not easy and very cumbersome. Please add 'Priority'!

Priority seems like a massive oversight in planner. Hope this can be resolved ASAP.

it would helpful to at least have an easier way to prioritise tasks within a bucket than drag and drop

Microsoft are using Planner to prioritize Planner development so they have no way of prioritizing this.

Tasks prioritization is a mandatory feature for a Planner.

A Planner without task prioritization is not a Planner.
Prioritization of tasks is one of the mandatory requirements for activity planning.Without that functionality Microsoft Planner will not be used by any company seriously, including mine.

Surprised it is missing from day 1. Tasks without priorities is not really effective planning...

This would be ideal in managing individual and team related workloads

This is definitely missing to really be able to handle workloads...

Yes, ability to put tasks in a user's preferred order (i.e. 1., 2., 3., etc....).

Would be helpful to include Low/Med/High field for tasks.

Adding custom fields that can be dynamically created for a plan would be a good solution for this! Would also enable different users to create a suitable ranking system for them - 0-100%, or H/M/L etc

the flags are nice for categories but can't function with very many tasks before priority becomes critical

Need this

It would be great to have a priority field for tasks (configurable preferably)
Tasks can then be sorted by priority on the board or in My tasks view

Add priority tick box per task

This would make the "My Tasks" section much more valuable with the ability to filter tasks by priority.
