Include Task Priority

Hello All! The priority feature is complete! Priority is rolled out to production across the Web and Teams. It’s also available in the mobile app an in the beta endpoint for the MS graph API. We’ve also updated the charts view to include a priority chart .
Please give it a try and let us know what you think! If there’s something you’d like us to improve upon, please find and vote on that suggestion or create a new one so we can prioritize accordingly.

What happened to priority? We had begun using it and now they are gone!

Did you remove the feature today? All of my tasks lost their priority identifiers.

this seems done. I noticed im seeing all tasks became medium priority recently.

It would be great if you could sort by both bucket and priority - so within each bucket the tasks are automatically listed in order of priority based on urgent, medium, low etc...

rather than "Low, Medium (default), Important, or Urgent", it would be better to have NUMERICAL VALUES FROM 0 TO 10. that would allow a better ranking of importance without requiring additional fields

When can we use it with ANDROID Phone? Pls provide an estimated date as we will only use the functionality at that point.
Good news it becomes available! -

Hooray! The priority field just showed up in our Microsoft Teams as described - Low, Medium (default), Important, and Urgent.

This is great. Can this priority feature also be brought into To-Do for tasks for Planner that are assigned to you? This would greatly help with prioritization of tasks on a daily basis.

The Priority field has appeared in the Excel export, and all tasks are set to Medium, but the field is not exposed in the Teams interface. When's it coming?

Has this feature been added into planner? I can see 'Priority' has appeared as a column when you export the plan to excel, but there isn't an option to set the priority on Planner?

At the moment I'm using the labels in Planner to set task priority, which is good as a temporary measure because I can then group by label.
My preference for priority levels would be
* Low
* Medium (default)
* High
* Urgent
* ImmediateI don't believe "Important" should be defined as a priority level (which is why I say "High" instead). I think you flag something as important, but it may not necessarily be the highest priority at any given time.

I've been using the Eisenhower Matrix approach with my team's task prioritisation for a couple of years now, and allows a more iterative 'agile' approach - always focussing on the most important/urgent task in any given day/week. I'd love to see this in Planner, in fact I'm surprised to see it's not there already.

This sounds like a great update - really look forward to this as it will be so helpful. The priority levels sound perfect to me. Would the idea then be that the bucket automatically sorts itself into order of priority - so the urgent tasks at the top of the bucket and the low priority at the bottom of that bucket?

This is a must have feature. Having a priority field on each task and then the ability to group by priority.

yes - Need to be able to prioritize tasks and have an option to display them in the order of priority. Can kind of do this with due dates, but makes you manipulate the due date to get it to display in an order of priority. Some have said low, medium, high, but i would like to be able to set a number between 1 and 100 and have it display in that order. Thanks!

Support this request!!!
Our project is about further development of (an already existing) internal system. we need to categorize the tasks according to lots of criteria:
1. Purpose of a new function (currently done by buckets)
2. Status within the development process - is it still a general idea, was it already specified, is the task in the development by the IT, is it being currently tested etc (since the status options are not sufficient (only 3 of them there), labels are being used)
3. Development effort of the task (currently there is no way to categorize)
4. Benefit for the users - high=high priority (currently there is no way to categorize)Please create a box for task prioritization. It’s a Must for a task planning tool!

Priority: Low, Medium, High, Critical (same as in Jira), probably this proposal should be merged with https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/33690892-ability-to-set-priority-on-tasks

This is still a needed feature. I can't believe it's still missing.
Even on Outlook Tasks you have three prioritiy settings. Sort it out Microsoft!
