This is a view in Trello I often looked at.
Would be better if it went into MS Project to instantly create a plan
Also, adding tasks and due dates in the project calendar and connect to that calendar in outlook

I too am missing this very important function.
You can attach deadlines to tasks in your group. I'd love to see these Planner-deadlines in the Office 365 Group-agenda.
For example, I made a group for Project X, And there's this task called Prototype 1, due to 1 September. I'd love to see in the project X-agenda(visible to everyone in the group) that There's a deadline at 1 sept, and that the 6 days planned for this task is visible in the agenda.
And preferably also in the coloursystem they use in planner ( red for to late, [or not started even if they should have started as the planning says] and blue when working on it, etc)
This way you can not only see how everybody it doing on their tasks, but you can also look at the planning in the agenda of different agenda's.
It's weird it wasn't already integrated

Agree with the comments. Would be great to add task deadlines to calendar or have some other way to visualize them.
To have the option to select whether a task deadline shows up on the Plan's calendar for everyone to see.

Integrate only with the Outlook Group Calendar. This is for collaboration - not individual Work.
We should be able to view tasks in a calendar format. Currently the calendar functionality is completely separate from the start dates and end dates of assigned tasks. It seems like no project management tool has been able to accomplish this, and it would be a huge plus if MS Planner was able to.
@Paul Lloyd - What do you mean by using the calendar option? What option is that?

I have started to use the calendar option and it is working well for me, I was a little confused (and still am really) about how it works. looks a bit like a cross between a group e-mail, group calendar and its own individual calendar. However once I changed the time zone it is working well enough for me. Do agree however to have a tasks calendar would be useful for scheduling.

Please don't introduce just another calendar view but rather use the calender already present within the O365 group. Simply add the Planner tasks to it incl. a hyperlink to get back to the task details on Planner. Done!

I'm confused why there is a calendar feature tied to the Planner but the entries don't automatically go into that calendar. This is a critical feature to working with a team on projects.
Yes please work on that option! There are many tasks assigned on a day which have to be done on an specific day in the future ... At this moment the best tool for doing that is the calendar, in my opinio. But it is very tedious to have to create a task and a calendar entry for a reminder on that ...

Hi, this is really a good point, we need to have visibility in a calendar mode for all the task of a planner and also from the user assgined to a task
Please do not just make a 'new' calendar view in Planner, that will not solve the disconnect between Planner and Outlook. You already have this nice calendar in Outlook that people check frequently and store their events/meetings on... please integrate Planner tasks with Outlook tasks and have them appear on Outlook calendar. This brings everything together instead of forcing people to check multiple places
I just created my first lot of tasks in Planner for a project I'm about to start. I then had to go over into my calender and re-enter in all the due dates. I wouldn't adopt a calender view in planner because when looking at your calender you want to whole picture of everything that is on. So have the start and due dates from Planner pushed across to your Outlook calender. This would be my top request.

YES YES YES, this helps planning for all sorts of things.
I would also appreciate a calendar view! And I would love if the calendar events on the group calendar would be integrated in the list of cards arranged by date. That way you can see all meetings and tasks related to a plan in one view
