I want the calender functionality so badly!
I think it is a fundamental functionality of Planner. -

Apps 4 Pro has an Outlook add in that manages to integrate a calendar feature but is quite limited in its scope.
Trello does a fantastic job in providing Planner functionality for free. For a fee based service of around $10/m they allow integration of various calendar, Gantt charts and other modules.Microsoft would do well to either purchase Trello and their IP or reverse engineer the functionality into Planner.
With no ability to integrate a calendar function and Gantt charts, Planner is not very useful.

I fully second this feature. I would like to see my tasks in the calendar. At first, when I didn't see them, I thought it was a misunderstanding then I elaborated about a possible bug to finally learn that it has been designed like this. However, what it is the purpose to have a project with tasks scheduled with a start and end date if you can't see them in the calendar ? In addition to that, there is some lack of logic here since each project has its dedicated calendar page, but it is empty

Hi. We are looking to use planner as we are a non-profit business and MS project costs are to prohibitive, but unless planner tasks auto fill into the plans calendar it is not very useful. When will this feature be available?

Planner tasks (start and due dates) should appear in group calendar - both global and personal calendars. Some Gantt chart functionality would be nice for those who don't need a full blown Microsoft Project subscription.

A calendar view is a must. Each contributor has tasks assigned and for this tool to be effective, one needs the ability to access a "global" calendar that shows tasks and due dates for all team members and also a calendar view for each team member (and ideally also the ability to integrate with the users' calendars and not just a separate view within Planner).

Apps4.Pro add-in just released a version that seems to do handle this task - I would like to see some flexibility added though. and it would be nice to see MS Planner actually incorporate this.

What's the status on this? I think it is an integral part of a planning feature and the logical next step.

A calendar view on the Planner Hub - Charts to show start dates, progress and end dates and conditional formatting by colour shading codes for tasks nearing completion, ie the closer you get to completion date the more red the task appears.

any updates or timelines that this will be added?

I see that I have a Planner calendar tab in my O365 calender, however my planner tasks are not showing in my Outlook calandar. Is there an extra configuration step that is needed, a button to push to post to calendar, or is this feature not fully available yet?

Agreed, we are implementing Planner in our company, but it would be ideal to be able to have tasks and checklist due dates integrated into the general calendar.
