Add or Integrate Planner Tasks with a Calendar
Calendar integration. Add tasks and their status on a calendar.

Hello!
Thank you again for your feedback and patience. We’re happy to announce that the schedule view of tasks is fully implemented and the iCalendar format feed is coming soon! Head over to tasks.office.com to check it out!
Here’s a link to our support article to learn more about viewing your tasks on a calendar: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/view-your-tasks-on-a-calendar-8647d2c9-9bc7-466a-b5b3-74b3596fade2?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
If you’re still interested in an integration with Outlook, please follow along with the conversation on this thread: https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/11037114-integration-with-outlook-tasks
We’d love to hear your thoughts on these two new features! Feel free to comment below, send us a smile through the O365 menu (select the question mark icon, click ‘feedback’, then include the word “Planner”), or tweet using #MicrosoftPlanner.
Cheers,
The Planner Team

The only solution I find now is to add the calendar integration as a tak in ToDo list of the certain task. It is destroyng a bit the ideia of automated O365 linking between the different apps. Hope MS is working on it.

Not much of a Planner if you have no calendar integration! Show me someone who plans something without a calendar (not just the dates). So many other comments about this but nothing done about it since July. Really?!? Clearly the uptake would be huge for MS if you added this functionality.

This is a must for our organization to use Planner. I cannot believe the planner's tasks don't have a way to integrate into the calendar.

This feature is a make or break issue for what we need. There are several pretty good PM systems out there already that offer this. Gantt chart functionality would be icing on the cake. (See Wrike for a good model)

Please ask/push product managers to decide add this functionality to the planner (office 365). It is key function to roll out and use MS planner in our organization and I believe in many other companies.

So in Juky you were thinking about it!! It's now November and no update. Come on Microsoft pull your finger out and at least have the decency to update us. So many want to roll this out but can't

Somewhat mindblowing that this is not already there. So the planner is part of a group that also has a calendar, but the planner events don't show up there?

Just adding my own requirement here to have Planner events with due dates added to the plan calendar. Ditto for the other 10 + teams in my institution that are also now using Planner, some that have migrated back from Trello.

What is the point of making a Planner plan into a group with a calendar if the tasks aren't integrated!

This is a must!!!!

I would also like to be able to get the planner tasks assigned to me in my outlook task list. But due dates on a calendar would be an excellent start.
I'm trying to use this tool to co-ordinate the non development side of a software release. E.g. We have TFS and urban turtle but this is over-kill for more marketing related work.

I think you should hire a Project Manager to have a clear idea on what a Planner application should have.
it is not possible that you do not have an integration with calendar as our team should always open panner and do not have a clear/easy view in their calendar to keep them focused.
Also you only have 1 option, notify all of the team (spam) or do not send a notification.. so please hire an specialist and give all of your customers the functionalitily that it should have.

I reckon Planner is a nice and useful tool but hard to justify using it without the possibility of having a Calendar view.

Should be integrated with your calendar in outlook and show deadlines for tasks

Only appointments and tasks with a begin and an end belong I my calendar for me. What is interesting is an automatic planning in a copy of your calendar (included appointments, free days, ...) but then you need to spend little bit more time in the information about each task. But this is something recalculated every time. Just to now the next tasks and to have controle on planning conflicts and workoverload.

Make a difference between a hard deadline and a planned end.

We use Planner right now but the one feature I think would put it over the top and make it an even more valuable tool would be a calendaring feature. Specifically something showing when all of my tasks are hitting or when my team might be at or above peak utilization. I'd love it!

I am looking forward to see more function in this app. I just dislike that it creates a new group/calendar. It would function much better it if were a part of an existing group.

Anything new on this? Our team has gone through the Lynda.com training videos, and the lack of being able to "see" a project timeline is a problem. We'd like to use Planner for a number of functions, including a content calendar, but we're struggling to see how that would work as current.
