Set default views
Can we have the ability to setup default views? Would be nice to have the team to access the plan and go to a predefined view that is easier to consume. I have a project with multiple members and its hard to track each ones actions for them when the access the tools and it goes straight to board view. Can we have the ability to have them go to the charts view with predefined filters? That would help make it visual as chart is a dynamic dashboard that makes it easier to track each peoples tasks.

do they use planner by them self? otherwise they would not let us wait for more than 4 years... this is a must.

Working with tech literate people who value their billable time - they won't use this tool to maximum effect if they have to select the correct view to sorting each time. I upvote the ability to set a default view, whether that be users nominating their own, or, as an owner setting it for all users. The base philosophy behind Microsoft programs like Teams/SharePoint/Planner/To Do is achieving what you need in a minimum of clicks.

At the least, change it so it "remembers" the view you last used. Each time I move to a different channel or do a new chat then come back to the To Do, it give me the same default Board view. Is there any type of "remember me" type setting?

This is a huge win for Planner's usability! This has got to be higher up in the dev team's priority! Please make it happen!

I also vote for the "Group by Bucket" option to be possible to configure as default. Whole team would like that

The function of setting your own default in "Group by Bucket" (e.g. default on 'Due Date') will help to have an immediate overview of tasks by day once you open the Team Rooms Task Board.
This needed improvement will help many people!
Thanks for catching up this idea shortly. -

I was really surpised when couldn't find a setting for this! Hope to see this up and running as soon as possible. And, I cannot see any explenation from MS telling why the feature's not there... It is always nice to know why:)

So...it has been four years. Please do this.

Please add this basic feature asap. Thank you!

The default view should at least either be by due date or by progress...not the order the tasks are added. Defaulting to the order they were added is no more help that having a scratch pad where I keep adding tasks as I think of them.

This is not even a feature, it is basic functionality for this kind of program...

Absolutely agree with this as necessary. This should be a standard option that is user-specific. MS, as smart as you are...please

Wow, I thought a quick google would help me find how to set the default view, very disappointing this has gone ignored for so long...

This is VERY needed. My team doesn't see tasks properly because it defaults to the original view instead of showing it by Progress. Please Microsoft!

4 years, 1295 votes, 190 comments and no action on what must be a simple feature to implement?? Seems MS isn't taking it seriously ...

I would like the ability to see Tasks in schedule view by default, specifically, with view set to Week.

Even just having the ability for the My Tasks view in Teams to STAY THE SAME when I click over to Chat and then click back, would be a start. My company is driving us to use Teams for Chat, so every time I go back to My Tasks to keep myself focused on what I'm doing today, I have to re-apply the same Filters. Extremely frustrating.

Please add the ability to set custom views - seems like a simple fix that would go a long way toward usability and customer satisfaction.
