Set default views

Can we have the ability to setup default views? Would be nice to have the team to access the plan and go to a predefined view that is easier to consume. I have a project with multiple members and its hard to track each ones actions for them when the access the tools and it goes straight to board view. Can we have the ability to have them go to the charts view with predefined filters? That would help make it visual as chart is a dynamic dashboard that makes it easier to track each peoples tasks.

    We want to use a specific planner in each channel where needed and do not create different buckets in addition to "to do". We want to start each team member on the "Group by progress" view. This has to be made settable by a owner for the whole team. Even having the ability to have the same view every time a user returns, is not enough, since training every user to switch views first thing they start on a plan is a no-go!

    Same here. can't roll out without that feature...
    Is this real? such a critical feature and they can't implement it?
    atleast tell us why.

    I asked my IT department to change the deafult settings for Planner view if possible, and they forwarded me to this poll, encouraging me to vote for this idea.

    Until I can set the default view to group by progress, I can't confidently introduce this otherwise useful tool to ca. 500 colleagues for fear of it being rejected outright.

    This would be extremely helpful. If you could define default filters and views on the planner in certain channels this would make it more accessible. By viewing your "master" planner through the relevant channel with the relevant filter default, you could immediately see the view you are looking for.

    Who wouldn't want the default view to be by progress??!?!? Who designed this? Please add this feature...

    This is the one blocker for one pf our user groups to adopting planner. Too many clicks to get to the views they need.

    The bucket view is bulky and can rarely be displayed without the need to scroll.

    For smth like the teams-tab it would be very nice to switch default view to diagramms or time-centered planning as well es sth. like "show next tasks for currently logged in user..."

    +1. This also applies for the Planner Web Part in Sharepoint. There is no option there to set default "group by".

    Showing buckets in a narrow column on Sharepoint makes no sense. I should be able to make users see tasks by due date or e.g. "This week" when they start their day by opening Sharepoint each day.

    we need this. Not all the time we need to see based on bucket.. Sometimes doing it based on who it is assigned to is very helpful
