Right now planer is for individual use, As to implement planer at group level the group admin to lockdown that is who can add, edit, delete and assign tasks is required for best utilization of option available.

must have feature - restrict permission to creater of the task - where it allows a user to comment on tasks but not to edit, create or delete tasks

We need to be able to restrict users from assigning management staff to tasks. But still be able to create their own tasks and complete tasks (but not delete) task assigned to them.

Totally agree, the temptation is always to change the due date of assignments ... delaying the inevitable!

Microsoft Planner is very effective for organisation monitoring and also Project Monitoring. But i have facing some problem when its allow to permission edit or delete all team member . My organisation is an Engineering Organisation so their have lots of Technical Design, Drawing and Calculation are uploaded. I dont feel security , Because Any one can download or delete any valuable documents any time. So how to i control delete, download, edit like this permission in secure way.

Is this something that can be added? My team is looking for a better way to assign our daily tasks and this would work for management and team members, as long as team members don't have administrator rights. Having 2 types of members (administration and then team members) where administrators have right to change anything and team members can only edit the completion add comments/attach files, would be critical to make this work.

A "read only" permission to a plan that would allow a user to comment on tasks but not to edit, create or delete tasks, would be useful.

This is a much-needed feature.
Like any other O365 feature planner too look excited at the beginning when we start using, its limitations make us move to other tools -

This needs to be able. You should be able to lock your plan or leave it open or lock specific tasks.. Our team members are literally just changing the due date of their tasks so they don't go late on their tasks. Our very detail plans are being corrupted by assignee's changing the tasks.

Please update planner to incorporate these features. Its really unproductive when an admin creates plans/buckets/tasks with specific due dates only to have them changed and/or deleted. This is a must add before I take planner company wide.

I have had to buy 3rd party software to export my plans into Excel to be able to retrieve tasks that are deleted (mostly unintentionally) by team members. Having the ability to select which team members (or at the minimum the task creator) can delete tasks will make me feel more secure and confident that I am looking at all my tasks.

there could be an approval flow which would allow users to delete but the action would only take place when a group owner accepts the request. in those cases the task or bucket should be highlighted as removal requested.

I support permission options such as changing due dates specifically. As the due date is directly linked to the "days left" value in Favourite Plans, it would seem essential to prevent non-admin accounts from changing due dates. This permissions feature would also allow any "late" tasks to be managed by an admin account only.

We need Planner Management controls.
As Project Manager for my Team, I need controls to prevent assigned team members from Deleting specific Tasks. O365 Plans, I would like to see an option to define roles or permissions to limit or control WHO can ADD or DELETE Specific Tasks would be helpful. -

In addition, it should be possible to block who can delete Buckets as well. I lost a set of tasks because one user deleted the Bucket.

Please add this option, i don't want my staff to delete task unless given access. even then also it should go to Bin first and stay there for few days (just like salesforce)
