Printing Capability
Printing Capability - company and individual. Ideally would have the ability to print out the entire planner board so that everyone at the company can see the entire project list and have a transparent way for everyone to track performance. Similarly would be ideal to allow individual users print out their tasks.

I have a board of outside advisors that want to see the objectives and plans we have in place. I need to be able to print out of teams/planner so I don't have to re-type everything. Come on Microsoft!

This. The print option in "To-Do" is pretty good. Same for planner would be nice.

I am surprised that printing capability is not a default capability! To me it is a no brainer!

This comment was made in 2016, it is 2020 and this function is still not available? We understand that the goal is to eliminate paper, but in any business, it is necessary to keep paper archives in case. In addition, printing a task allows it to be given to people who are not necessarily members of the company. A screenshot is a poor solution from Microsoft.

I don't understand why we can't print out our buckets and tasks etc. It looks like this was an issue from the start. Why has it not been addressed? I may have to start looking into other solutions. I already sunk a bunch of time setting up in Planner. I love the KanBan simplicity but we need to be able to print. Not everyone in a group is comfortable. We like to check things off on paper, sometimes add it to a physical file or binder.

I am expecting a solution in the near future or I would rather look for another program

Be great to have the ability to print filtered tasks to provide a report for those outside the team to view recent progress and upcoming tasks...

The onscreen view is too small when viewing our Project Backlog Plan, which feeds our separate SPRINT Plan. Our teams need to be able to print the Project Backlog (10+ buckets with >10 Deliverable Cards in each) to effectively conduct Backlog Refinement review as the plan too large to view on a single screen. If scaled to fit the screen the content is illegible. Also, teams with compliance requirements are required periodically to record the current plan at a point in time (eg: For R&D grant submissions, for Project Milestone Review Reports. It is essential that a PDF can be recorded of a plan for communication outside the operating team.

We have recently been using planner to track tasks on our projects, but without the ability to be able to print these out are having to consider going back to our excel project tracker. Its seems daft that we are unable to print from within planner.
We have to provide progress reports to our clients, and as such having the ability print reports from planner is crucial otherwise we are having to double up on information.
Can Microsoft please give an update on when these features are likely to be included?

Printing from Planner (web or from app, Excel format or PDF) is a necessity; as much as we want to live in a purely digital world, there are times when this is simply not practical.
Please make this a priority.

has this been solved? This was raised back in 2016? (it's 2020 now.......)
