Printing Capability
Printing Capability - company and individual. Ideally would have the ability to print out the entire planner board so that everyone at the company can see the entire project list and have a transparent way for everyone to track performance. Similarly would be ideal to allow individual users print out their tasks.

The new tools are rolled out too quickly. How is it possible that the print option wasn't included?

Printing is vital otherwise this app is a waste of time

This is a great and necessary feature. Being able to print the plan would be great for meeting & planning preparations where using the live tool is not possible.

The ability to print to regular pages or plot to large E40 or E48 paper (like Visio can) so we can tack them on a wall in a meeting room for discussion would be huge!!

I would like to print for a variety of reasons. I'm loving what you are doing with Planner and where you are headed, but it is imperative to print a list of open tasks, by person assigned if possible

Either a print functionality or export to Excel with the description and optional comments would be very nice indeed!

Using planner without a way to generate report is hardness!
Every month we MANUALLY export the tasks to excel for report generations, such as: finished tasks by month, by analyst, by app, by type, hours, and so on.
The tool is great but we're almost giving up.you cannot control what you cannot measure and you cannot manage what you cannot control

I withdraw my vote for this if it means Microsoft spends their time fixing more important items, like the ability to have a template for a plan that can be used to generate new plans, or import/export data from Excel or Project. Integration with Project would be a sensible approach, allowing a project manager to manage from Project but allow end users to provide updates from within Planner.
Don't get me wrong. Being able to print stuff out from Planner, for use as talking points during meetings, would be useful. Being able to print out charts in PDF form for sharing with key project stakeholders would be very handy, too. It's too much to expect non-tech-savvy members of an organization to get into Planner directly to check on a project's status.

I've only used this for a few days and LOVE the app, but . . .
Printing is non-negotiable!
I personally love saving trees, but occasionally I need to print out items like this to make work happen.
I don't care how you make printing work - preferably natively in the app, but a quick fix would be to allow it to sync with some other Microsoft app or even let PowerBI read it and print from there.
People have been asking for this essential item and I don't even see it on the roadmap.
Without printing, only a few people in my organization will use it. With it, we will have hundreds.

This really needs to be implemented. Printing is STANDARD. That's like designing an application that doesn't have mouse capability.

I have spent the past half hour looking for a way to print and now I see why I can't figure it out. Come on Microsoft! Why would you spend a lot of money on development but leave out one of the most basic but critical of features?!? I was very excited loading all my work into the tool but have stopped since I can't print out a simple summary sheet I can carry around with me.

Right! How can I print the plan that I have made? It would be nice to take a simple sheet into a meeting and review tasks with folks as opposed to pulling my laptop in.

Printing is a must! Or Export to something that is printable

We now run planner but also have to have a physical KANBAN board - what a waste of time and effort for such a simple requirement not to have been fulfilled by this product.

Planner is USELESS without being able to print the tasks for the team meetings and for the Project Manager to be bale to see the tasks in a list (excel) to understand the whole of teh project. Otherwise it is like post its on a computer screen , aka MESS and 5 steps back from where we were with other PM software tool (Red Booth, Asana). Can't be so hard to at least provide equal amount of tools as a BASIC like the competitors. Why is it taking so long to release tool updates? I feel like this website is a black hole and nothing happens. Need to see progress or we are going back to other PM tools. You need to live up to some expectation and the projects we are running out in the world are not mom and po shop types nor all start ups. We are running complex projects and streamlining organization is key. Right now Planner as a Project Manager would be fired in my world because you are not organized and practical at all. Sorry to vent, but I'm really trying to make this work in our office and you need to support us in order to get there.Thank you

To be able to print a report or view of tasks is really important.

Having some way to print or export the plan information would be extremely helpful.
