Time tracking for cards
Track the time spent on each card by each member that worked on it would be very useful, further with reports to easily consume this information.
Besides, if tasks were imported from Project (where work hours should be set by task)... time input could help to calculate the completion status.

A great plus of Trello is the integration with Toggl, it would be great to have such a similar tool also in Planner

Trello provides this ability with add-ons, i.e. estimated effort/complexity and Work In Progress Limits (WIP) for active buckets (i.e. Doing, Testing, Deploying but not ToDo backlogs) and burndown charts. I think it is too much to expect something along these lines will show on initial Planner rollout but we need a foundation so that the owner of a Plan (or template) can define additional task metadata like estimated/actual effort so that we record time required for various workflows.
That along with Logic Flow Planner exposure will allow integration with external/in-house time tracking apps which are another "beast" altogether...
BTW, I feel we should stay away from Prj Online, we are talking about agile prj management here.. -

Agreed... we need integration with MS Project Online soon. Otherwise Planner separated from MS Project gives a feel of something lagging.

An absolute must. What's the point in using a task management tool, when you cannot track the time spent by your team?

I think it makes very much sense to have some kind of time tracking option. I do not think seconds or even minutes are of great importance. Seeing a task marked as late will surely have its own good reasons. However, once a task has started, knowing if completed in 2, 6, 24 hours or 48 hours does make a notable difference.

I agree that this could be a hindrance, If added please allow it to be optional. Time tracking is what ticket systems are for IMO

I have seen time tracking kill great task managment apps.If you are going to do time tracking - you will have to release a full featured time time accounting system. Which would be awesome.... or just make it really sutble. Or have the ability to turn it off.
