How can we improve Planner?

Time tracking for cards

Track the time spent on each card by each member that worked on it would be very useful, further with reports to easily consume this information.

Besides, if tasks were imported from Project (where work hours should be set by task)... time input could help to calculate the completion status.

        Best practices in project management definitely involve time estimation (previous) and a set of time tracking records (the actual time spent by asignees)

        A great plus of Trello is the integration with Toggl, it would be great to have such a similar tool also in Planner

        Time tracking is also essential for our teams. We create measures and metrics for each card and compile them into our epics and features.

        We need to be able use this for Agile - a bit like Jira, but better! Ability to set an overall time unit as part of the project config, so that estimate time effort can be assigned to tasks and sub tasks. Also the ability to link tasks and have effort cumulated to Story or Main task level would be good. The ability for people to either log effort or effort remaining would be useful. If you could also add a burndown chart that would be awsome!

        We need to further plan within a day to micromanage tasks during working hours. Prioritizing and dependencies will have a greater impact on tasks and without time management, we won't be able to execute the plan.

        Only with this can it any way compete with the likes of Jira - there is no ability right now to get an overview of workload across a team.

        I am using Apps4pro planner manager app which allows to create custom fields like this in planner tasks and generate reports based on this. It worked great for me.

        Yes, please, along with a field for "estimated time" so that we can measure where we are in relation to the estimate.

        Essential feature if we are going to start to use planner instead of another task manager tool!
