Function to add more Labels
Sometimes the Labels are not enough, for example if you use it to tag different departments or functions

You can now choose up to 25 colored labels per task in Planner and Planner tasks in Tasks in Teams. More labels allows for greater flexibility when organizing tasks. Use labels to flag risks, signal delays, help fine tune task prioritization, clarify accountabilities, or categorize tasks around a theme spanning multiple buckets. Anything you can think of that requires color-coding and tagging tasks, labels can help.
More labels has been a top customer ask and we’re happy to make it available now to all organizations. Try it out in the mobile and web/desktop versions of Planner and Tasks in Teams.

I definitely agree that there needs to be more ways to do this, like labels. However, based on other systems that I've used, this might get messy since most of us would probably end up needing dozens of labels. Tags is a better analog to what we need.

Along with having more labels provided, It would also be helpful to be able to filter By Label in the board view, just as the current "Group by" function enables you to do so with Buckets/Assigned Users/Progress. This is one of Trello's current major advantages over Planner.

I'm a new user to this and love it but this was the first thing I noticed. No where near enough labels. It should be like outlook where you can add as many as you like.

Could not agree more. I hit this limit in a coupe of days after we started using Planner.

Would indeed be nice to be able to add more labels. In trello it's possible and I use it a lot.

I agree, the option to add more labels would be extremely helpful. I deal with multiple categories and creating buckets for each one is too much to sort through.

I concur more labels would be a nice add!

Agreed - I use three for RAG status' alone, and that only leaves three for additonal additional categorisation so not really enough.

Using labels is a great idea, but there aren't enough of them. Please give us the ability to add more labels.
