Function to add more Labels
Sometimes the Labels are not enough, for example if you use it to tag different departments or functions
Thank you so much for your feedback and sharing how you use labels. We’ve been working on improving our labels experience, and will continue to do so. With that, we are working on increasing the number of labels that you can use in Planner!
Need more labels asap
How long before the no of labels increased ? How do we get notified when this is implemented ?

We also need more than 6 labels so that tasks can be categorised as well as prioritised. We would certainly want 10 as a basic minimum please.

Great news - we want more labels!
I would like to have the ability to Add more labels and assign colors on the Microsoft Planner in teams.
I cannot believe that something so simple has not been implemented yet!
The lack of this means a very capable product is unusable for it's intended purpose, change this one simple thing and I'll be all over it like a fat boy in a candy/sweet shop.
More than 6 labels is a basic need and I'm shocked this is not yet complete

+1, definately need more than 6 labels. And a better UI for editing them. Having to go into a card to edit is not intuitive.
More than 6 Labels is a must have, to handle the different kinds of tasks we have in our organisation.
I definitely need more than 6 labels. We're using it to breakdown a project into workstreams and as we add workstreams or categories, we are surpassing the limitation of 6 almost every time. Please add this soon. I'm now having to consider a different tool for organizing tasks (and moving away from Planner) solely because of this limitation.
Can you please add more then 6 labels. It is not enough
1) How do you use labels to organize your work?
We use it to tag the task with diffrent areas.
2) How many labels do you need?
Depends, it changes over time and alos what kind of planner board we have setup. For example when using it for projects we need a lot of labels.
3) Would you like an ability to customize colors? If so, how would you use it?
YES! But also to add labels by your self and and a color and text when needed.
4) How would you like labels to appear on task cards?
With the color and description.
5) Is there anything else would you like to add in regards to labels?
It would be great if you could assign/connect a status to be set when changing label. But not mandatory.
Also misses the possibility to add customized status, not enough with "Not started, Ongoing, Completed" when using it as a simple scrum or Kanban board.

Please add labels. It's the main thing holding this back from being better than Asana. Asana allows us to create as many labels as we need. We create one for each Client we serve, and allows us to slice across all Projects to get a 360 view of what's going on for that Client.
Any idea on when that will be released?

I would also like the option to have less labels. I only need 3 in a specific list and would like to remove the 3 unused.
