Integrate with MS Project in O365
Does this interfaces with MS Project? This would be a much better way of creating, assigning, executing, and tracking project tasks as well as non-project/administrative tasks. Also, maybe the time invested in tasks could flow automatically to timesheets. Reducing or removing the time spent maintaining timesheets would be welcome.

This is needed. It should work in the same way To Do is integrated with Planner at the very least.

It took me one week to be able to link MSproject to planner but the result is so disappointed, its more like a hyperlink for me to link each task to planner site but doesn't help to sync up data between Project & Planner. I may come come back to traditional method: download Planner into excel file then upload into Project, not very happy with this.

Our company is getting ready to implement MS Planner and the 365 suite, but we have projects in flight that we have been tracking in MS Project 2013 and Excel 2013 Worksheets. I would love to be able to leverage the tools in the 365 ecologies while our teams are still excited about the transitions.

Being able to integrate MS Project with Planner would not only save a lot of time, but with no MS project link in Teams it minimizes the current visibility of project status. Why create what is essentially a simplified Project if you're not going to give it the ability to interface with the more detailed information ?

As a Project Manager, the lack of integration between MS Project and Planner adds to my workload because I have to manually add my project tasks into planner and then manually add any relevant data from planner tasks to my project tasks.
I really like Planner because it provides both awareness of the tasks to my project team and accountability for not getting them done.

Adding my voice to request for integration with Project. I would like to be able to take the elements of an MS Project plan for which my team has responsibility and put those into a Planner plan as tasks and assign them. Tracking progress collaboratively in Planner make this VERY attractive. Passing updates into MS Project would be a nice to have, but not critical.

We have the requirement to have every team member update their tasks in the corresponding bucket in Planner, while the managers need to access Projects in order to make resource planning in Projects.

It takes a lot longer to add tasks in planner then to build a MS Project file. So we need a way to import that file to planner.

As A PM it would great to have the ability to sync task between Planner and MS Project. It would help the team members who don't need to access project to complete task while allow the PMs track the tasks and use the power of Project.

We have two essential requirements which could be implemented within as part of of this User Voice:
• When linking a Task from Project Online with a Planner, the task is created directly in the corresponding Planner. The task can then be maintained and edited in Planner by an employee. The information entered by the employee in Planner is synchronized back. If the task is updated in Project, Planner is also updated.
• Activities/tasks which are assigned to persons in Project Online are automatically displayed in a list in To-Do at the corresponding person and can be edited from here.
Please help us to implement these necessary requirements in order to significantly increase productivity.

Since our Org is a mix of Windows machines and others, I have team members who cannot use MS Project, and it is the only tool right now that has the capabilities we need for annual project planning that accounts easily for specific time durations (and doesn't put due dates on weekends!). We'd really need Planner to have those capabilities, including Gantt charting, so we can work from the web interface, regardless of workstation OS.

Any timeline for the capability to upload tasks to Planner?

This would make planner much more dynamic so that we dont have to copy and paste from one to another. In general there should be a way to import an excel list or ms project in to planner easily. For example, with bright works you create plan and then you can import and after importing any updates completed in the ms project directly can be updated in to the bright works plan version.

This link is needed badly for those of us wanting to use the full capabilities of Planner and Project! The link is needed in both directions... to and from each application. Help!

I enjoy using planner but agree there MUST be a link with MS Project. Both to populate tasks in Planner and to make complete in Project. Please link O365 Planner and Project!

As a PM, this is critical to help my teams understand their roles without seeing the project schedule at large. Planner is much better for day-to-day of resources rather than having to seek out their tasks in a long activity list. PLEASE improve the integration here so that they update both directions and streamline the status update process.

I am very surprised that this functionality is still not available. It is so logical to import tasks from a MS Project plan into Planner.

We could really use a live data link between a Plan and an MS Project plan. Maybe even get a little granular and be able to tag Plan tasks such that only certain tasks show up in the corresponding MS Project, or vice versa. Whether edits and updates flow in one direction or both should also be configurable (control the 'source of truth').

Please is there a way at least to import a list of tasks with their WBS to planner?

Is it possible to interface and update tasks from MS Project?
