Please make it happen! I can't believe that Microsoft doesn't allow tasks to be imported from Excel into Planner yet.

Agreed with Marlene, export and import both function should be available, not sure ETA on this as well. Appreciate if someone from Microsoft can provide that.

I can't believe you haven't added this already. I've got employees trying to use Asana which is an additional cost to my company instead of Microsoft Planner which is already paid for as part of our O365 subscriptions.
It should be embarrassing that a 3rd Party app can import a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet but Microsoft's app cannot.

Why is this taking so long? How hard can it be? If you an export into a predefined form and format, then allow us to import using that same data structure and format ;-)

I have a client that had asked for a detailed project plan and they mostly operate in Excel so I did so. Now they're moving to Planner for projects and have asked for everything to be reflected in Planner. I do not want to manually transfer every line item and would appreciate some kind of import tool to populate Planner with data and content resident in Excel. Thank you.

Import and export is a critical need for sharing or if we wanted migrate from spread sheet based tracking to planner. We dont need to spend a of time if you can import. A template cna defined to map to the respective fields of planner to xls columns

It would be very useful if Planner had this option.
