    Our team has lots of checklists and signoffs currently in Excel that we want to convert to Planner. However, the overhead time to add all those tasks into a Plan is somewhat prohibitive to us making that move! Would like an import option, at least for basic attributes - task name, assigned to, start/due dates, comments.

    We will need the import function before we move from CVR to IL5 environment, else we wasted a lot of time committing our tasks to CVR Planner.

    CSV, XLS files etc. this is a total no brainer addition to planner/tasks, come on Microsoft, just do it!

    If I can import Excel into many other - not as logical - MSFT destination apps, why can it not be an available function for Planner (or Tasks for Planner or whatever it's called today)?

    Importing Excel and other structured-data files into a task planner is considered a standard feature. Many Planner competitors have this feature. Populating large projects or repeating projects into a task planner is essential to productivity, which a task planner is meant to enable. Adding import features of one Microsoft product (Excel) into another (Tasks by Planner) is a reasonable and priority request. Thanks!

    I also would like to import tasks from Excel. I see that this idea was posted in 2016 and now it is almost 5 years later and this has not been implemented yet.

    And yet, somehow they found the time to change the name of Planner to some convoluted 6 word name. So it doesn't look like efficiency is the goal of the Planner team...

    that's what's stopping me from using planner. Creating a planner from scratch with 50-100 tasks takes so much time...

    In Microsoft To-do you can at least copy paste tasks, could this be very similar functionality?
